Here we are in 2017 and SOS pillaging of GWS is under no scrutiny. Why?

Phillips, Jaksch, Pickett, Palmer, Sumner, Lamb, Whiley, Marchbank, Plowman.

Went to a Australian chamber function abroad mid week, was fortunate enough to be seated next to a Carlton supporter, I smiled and suggested we watch the next game together (round 14)...

Where's Jaksch? Forgot all about him.

Hard to visualise many on the list being part of their next flag, and the list detritus will take at least two drafts to upgrade. Not going anywhere for a while.

He's part of the Northen Blues 2 pronged attack with Liam Jones.

Geez he has not come on at all. Must be pretty bad if he cant get a game in the current side. Played one senior game last year.

do we all have the right to be dirty on this scumbag club today?

The RFC should be pursuing the Carlton footy club for damages, Carlton are clearly the most dishonest and honor lacking sporting club in Australia, never deal with them again Richmond.

and is this something we should consider pursuing? Do we have any rights in this regard? or will our soft as butter board just cop it on the chin and move on like they always do?

Geez, we start *smile* like this and Hawthorn will sue us for Vickery.....

Buyer beware.

We got fleeced.

Our fault don't blame Carlton.

Yes, as I have now posted on the Yarran threads, Balme has come out and said they knew of Yarran's issues but went ahead with the trade regardless. Disgusting from people that get paid a lot of money to recruit. They should never be allowed to stay at the club doing things like that. I am livid. We lay people don't know any better but these recruiters - that is their job to know! Grrrrrrr

Carlton did everything by the book.

It's truly embarrassing to have crumbled at Pick 19 in a one horse race for a known ice addict though.

not talking about the trade, but from afar how they treated Yarran the player and person appears pretty ordinary.

Fair point, and it touches on a deeply ingrained, overarching philosophy at that club. Carlton's coldness here can be seen as a remodelling of the rational coldness that motivated their tanking; improve the list quality by eliminating the human factor from the equation. The Carlton robot factory.

Richmond's more human approach will burn us occasionally, but hopefully has cultural implications where Richmond is a place all players would love to be.

In a football world where players are increasingly treated like commodities and losing their love for the game, it could be win-win for club and players if our loyalty and care is more old-school than any other club. Not talking about the cost of the trade, I'd much prefer to be Richmond than Carlton here, even if we lost this battle.

Don't blame Carlton or the player.

Blame the AFL & the AFLPA here.

Under their code they are not allowed to divulge drug issues ( if he had them prior to joining us ) in their 3 strike policy.

So as Maxwell Smart would say, Chief we need the ' cone of silence '.

I just hope that with Balme there now these things don't slip through as the club can't help everyone. Over the years we have quite a few players delisted / or release from their contracts due to various issues and I'm sure it becomes an expensive exercise.

So if they want Casboult to walk to draft to get a late first round pick plus tank to get a first round pick for finishing last , we shouldn't be helping or entertaining the idea.

With Casboults asking price, let the Tigers walk away not help them land decent pick(s).

What is it with us picking up their players?

Unfortunately Dumb and Dumber still work for us though. Other clubs must pee themselves laughing at how incompetent we are as a club

Why are we targeting rejects from the wooden spoon club? Availability? Casboult gets the goal kicking yips again and he is a diabolical membership microwave waiting to happen.

its getting close to that time where we start discussing our season opener against the scum. Long may they remain sh!t with years and years of ridicule ahead of us.

Their new CEO is a former Richmond administrator of course. Its a refreshing change to see our people stolen by others.

sidenote: How did the Grigg/Collins trade work out again? :hihi
