Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Congrats to him on a fine year, look forward to him building and playing more midfield minutes in 2019. Suspect he will be starting pre-season training asap. Driven

He showed up plenty of his more senior teammates with they way he handled himself in the cauldron last night.

I reckon he is my fav player at the moment. Just love all there is about him. Not just a novelty player with his personality but a bloody great player too.

Before the game Fox put up stats of him and Stephenson. He had Stephenson covered for possessions, score involvements and not far behind in goals. I was surprised but just underlined how good he is

If you want a nice surprise go and do a player compare with Sam Mitchell at the same age.

A year older but his rookie year was reasonably similar Cotchin's first season, has a very bright future.

Big pre season and I can see him been a starting midfielder, I think his going to really help with our clearances

We need it. Get him and even Rioli around the ball. Butler back in the fwd half and perhaps Bolton or Baker to allow Higgins to go on ball.

Yep. Hold your head high Higgo. He even kicked the 2 goals that he would've stuffed up during the season.

Agree with this. He’s a natural midfielder. When Butler is fit, I want Higgins playing in the guts. Has the potential to be A-grade very quickly imo, and it will fit a bit of a need for us.

Once the puppy fat goes, I can see a Cuz body shape.

A little like Martin, just born to play football ... and he knows it. Great potential from top first season.

He's jumped ahead of all the small forwards except Rioli because they cannot play midfield at present. I predict that Butler must take this step up too, and George, if they want an assured career at AFL level.

I was at swannys joint tonight, drinking myself sober

I scowled in a corner in my dusty tshirt mrs easy helped the kids make me for fathers day

And jack higgins came over to pay his respects

What an impressive young man. He respects his elders like a well reared lad.

He apologised for the prelim

And i looked him in the eye, and said hold your head high son

Your first season is a credit to you and your family.

Youlle play 250 games for richmond, and i hope you enjoy them as much as i will.

He thanked me and shook my hand firmly and took his leave.

A boisterous young girl slipped on the tiles and looked to break her elbow

And a couple of cheap hoods tried a fight in the toilets

Which was a clear indication that i too should take my leave.

They held the door open for me

You just have to love that character called Higgins. He works so hard to improve his game, shows he is having fun in doing so and just brings a smile to peoples faces for being so natural
