Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Ross Lyon summed it well
"They've groomed you. They've invested in you, they're a great club, so i'd be pushing for him to stay and prove that he's good enough to get in that 22... back yourself in and get a medallion around your neck"

in other words Higgins, put your big boy pants on and work for it.

OK if Preuss gets pick 31 then Higgins is a first rounder and no less.

Is Presuss the Clayton's ruckman.
Always over valued but never gets a game.
Shocking decision to go to Melbourne while Gawn was there.
Not much competition at GWS, let's see him last 22 weeks.

interesting he wants out when still contracted

its not the thing you would normally advise a young player to do at a dynasty club , at his age the dynasty club is where you should be wanting to be , and he should be grateful they saw something in him and drafted him .

im starting to think for whatever reason , he doesnt feel like he fits in

And Preuss is a complete and utter spud! If the Aints won’t give us something worthwhile, then we hang onto Higgo, and if he works hard enough and the cards fall his way, he may just wind up with a shiny Premiership medallion, not something he’d be likely to get at the Aints.

Agree with this.

I'd almost go as far as to say, if he digs his heels in and still wants to leave that indicates he's probably not 100% on board with the Club's ethos at the moment.

Graham, McIntosh, Short, Bolton, Baker, Balta, Soldo. Plenty of blokes who he can look to as examples as guys who beat the door down on a premiership side and were rewarded handsomely in 2019 and 2020.

How much of a lucky dip compared to normal will first rounders be this year? Definitely wouldn’t let him go cheap.

I'm in this basket too. We stood by him with a life threatening injury when we could have delisted him as a risk. Earn your stripes mate, don't just expect to be gifted games.

Not as much ticker in the young fella as I'd expect. If the trade doesn't work out our way, we keep him. We make him work his ass off, and say you want to be a senior footballer, earn it.
and another thing! his manager says "seeking opportunities to play games... apart from the start of the season, and the end, did he play 10 games? Bulter they got cheap, but Higgins no way. let the deal fall through if we don't get first round pick. Trade next year

he aint getting big minutes in the midfield for mine, given our flag midfield and those coming through. Maybe this has been communicated to him and he sees himself as a mid. No idea though.
