Brett Deledio (merged)

Re: Brett Deledio

He is an elite footballer skill wise and he has really lifted his defensive work rate in the past couple of months. His tackle and contested possession count have lifted markedly. His handballing is very creative; that 15 metre handball that sent Cuz into an open goal was a gem. If he played at a good club he'd be in the top 10-15 players in the AFL.

He's improved markedly in required areas after Rawlings threatened to drop him.

He's destined to become the next generation Richo; playing his entire career surrounded by hacks and duds.

i thought he was great for you guys last night i re watched the game and he was always there don't ever let anyone say he was not a good pick ! needs a hair cut though sorry

Might have to show my Hawks supporting mother that, she kept trying to tell me that Deledio was nowhere and was doing nothing! Fair to say the 36 possessions stat surprised her. As for Brett's hair I'd say he's a couple of weeks away from entering mullet territory which is a definite concern.

have not seen a good mullet for a while have we? who was the last one in footy to sport a mullet ?

Re: Brett Deledio

Great game but hardly unexpected. Has been a great player from day dot IMO. Wallace & co are to blame for stifling his ability and his games under Rawlings show up Wallace for the goose he really is. Not a big fan of Jade but kudos to him for playing lids on the ball for such extended periods.

How some didn't give him BOG on the voting thread is a mystery. Can't remember such a clear best player for the team.

Deledio is a gun in the middle.

Wallace just wasted him.

wallet wasted half the team, even jayden post said he only spoke to him 4 times this year, dean putt said ive only spoken to him a hand full of times over the last 3 yrs...

he doesnt know the meaning of developing youngsters...

Re: Brett Deledio

Yep he's played an excellent last half of the year.
The question is : Is he playing that way because Jade gave him a rev or
as he hasn't yet signed is he looking to impress other clubs ?

Hope it's the first

I personally spoke to Putt and Post who said something similar like that to me.

It is common knowledge now that the young guys who were not freaks from the beginning did not see a lot of Wallace.
