Amazing for a player that was so durable at the start of his career has become so fragile.

IMO he’s too big. Needs to shred some muscle.
Carrying too much weight.

Done his left calf.

Would have to be season over, and quite possibly career. Has had no luck the last few years of his career.

Is that the good calf or the previous injury?
Can't remember.

Regardless who he's playing for, that is really dissappointing for Brett. RFC champion.
I'm buying into the theory he knew he was cooked and got the best deal for rfc he could....

Like the theory beardy - took one for the team. Sad end for the champ. Wish him well as he was a loyal servant.

I'd like to, too. But if that was the case he would have congratulated them straight away and there'd be none of this zoo BS.

Yeah. He wanted finals glory and didn't think he'd get it with us. No hard feelings, he did his bit for us and he should be welcomed back if he chooses to return.

And he did get to play finals with GWS so all good.

Will be welcomed back at Tigerland at some stage but this is near the best trade I think we have ever done.
Yep. Ripping player for us over the years n sad to see his career destroyed by lower leg injuries over the last 3 to 4 years, looked almost bullet proof for most of his years with us.

Went from being a sure fire 300 gamer a few years ago, and now who knows if he'll play next year.

Didn’t buy into the theory at the time, but it seems Rimau may have been closer to the mark about Brett’s attitude than what he was given credit for.

While he played some wonderful footy for the Tigers, I’m not sure his attitude/self admiration is what we want back at the club.

I've heard first hand that his (and a couple of others') attitude towards young players was the biggest issue during the period where Brett was a leader. Purely in terms of his individual attitude towards football and training and the like, Lids was very highly regarded. His problem was he just didn't have much time for players who weren't as talented or needed mentoring from him. Not a leader at all.
