The AFL.site has given him a 7 rating. Very generous considering he wasnt playing in the last qtr.
Should give it up but another 10 GWS players tbat was a *smile* weak performance.

Thought he played a ripper game. Was one of the very few who was composed with his disposals. He was much quieter 2nd half, can only think he was injured.

Played pretty well for much of the game. Certainly better than many of his team mates.
That said, I don't think he is any longer the sort of player capable of having a big influence over matches.
Don't believe the Tigers miss his presence.
Reckon 2019 will see his career come to an end.

14 disposals in the first half, only 4 in the 2nd. Probably to do with his limited preparation and age. He'd still get a game at the Tigers, too gifted not too. But we moved him on at the right time, maximum return.

Lids running down the whing , High half foward kicking 2-3 goals is still a class act , Only question would be his ability to stay on the park with his achilles and calf issue's but a fully fit lids would be starting 22 easily

I see Ryan Griffin has retired.

Funny how both of them gave up on their clubs to go to the plastic club to win a Premiership but only got to watch their real clubs win Premierships after smacking their plastic club along the way.

The footy Gods are clearly concerned about the effect that plastic is having on the planet.

These are both sliding doors moments AND ironic.

Has been a great player for us but given the rumours of being a disruptive influence around the club I doubt if he could fit into our current culture and benefit the team.
Destined to be an also ran at a minor club

Would he get a game in the current Tiger side??
Who’s spot would he take if so....
Has the skill level to knock out a couple ie Macintosh & Conca, but they have specific jobs to do, like every other player in the team. i doubt Lids would have a spot anymore, and i sometimes wonder if we'd have made the granny last year if he'd still been with us, as the pressure/tackle/chaos game is not his game. i'm inclined to think its less likely than likely.

I reckon lids was still stop, prop and assess... didn't look confident to really push his running game. I did note he looked to handpass in lieue of a kick as his first option... was hard to assess his effectiveness

It's a classic hypothetical this one.
If Lids were available for selection alongside with the current 22 - I guess there's an argument for him fitting into the side alongside with Caddy, Prestia and all bar one of the of the current 22.
But of course we only have Caddy, Prestia and the current 22 because Lids decided to bugger off.

BTW - I'm a Lids fan and if not us - I'd be rapt if GWS won the flag next year.

His game on the weekend rapts up his career. Plays well, but when needed to set up, he disappears quicker then David Copperfield.
He was no where in the last qtr.

He’s had limited chances to train this year due to on going injuries, it’s not surprising he faded towards the end of the game.
