I don't know about Cousins showing how over-rated Lids is, I didn't think Cuz did that much tonight.
But I reckon Scooty's greyhound Benny Cuz would show how over-rated half our list is on tonight's effort.

Sir - didn't even go over the top.
Me thinks one of the censors has a soft spot for Deledio - and didn't like what I said (in fact this has happened a few times in recent weeks)
In avoiding swearing - I used a few asterix's and question marks!
What I said was - words to the effect:
Cousins showed in his short stint's how over-rated Deledio is!
Opposition teams have worked out how easy it is to tag Deledio out of a game!
For all those calling for Cousins to be de-listed (being over 30!!!) then seriously - get a (I think this is where the asterix's and question marks were thrown in) - get a life!

When the game had to be won (3rd qtr) wtf was Deledio doing in the backline picking up Picken of all players??? I'm not certain where Deledio's real value lies but it sure as hell is not in the back pocket. There's plenty of other hacks on our list who could simply play a man-on-man role (I nearly said King god forbid).
Will be interesting to see what role the "Caretaker" gives Deledio for one.

Not really an appropriate thread. Sure Lids had a down game, but with a minor injury cloud and an entire game spent at centre half-forward, he's not really to blame. Hopefully the new coach(es) will be wise enough to put him in the midfield where he belongs.

Great game from Cuz.....shame that Wallace's handball game plan offsets Cuz's methods.
We have an on-field midfield coach in our hands and must take full advantage from now on.

i agree with most of this brett but for u to make out u spent the entire game at CHF is incorrect, u spent much time (esp 3rd Q) in the backline effectivly playing on picken who tagged ur sweat ass out of the game when it was on the line.

Lids was shocking tonight and what concerns me is that he doesn't work hard enough when things dont go his way. This is a concern has he has shown these signs more than once.
Bucks made and interesting comment though during the commentary along the lines of how is Lids going to learn to shake a tag if he's not exposed to it, by hiding him.

u gotta be kidding. every single disposal he had (bah 1) either released our player into space or hit our player on the chest. was in our best 3 players easily. everything he does has class about it.
he doesnt show how over-rated deledio is FWIT. cuz hadnt won a B&F by his 4th year at the eagles, lids still has a long way to go and what cuz has achieved, lids should be setting himself to be as good and ever better than cuz but he certainly doesnt show lids to be an over-rated player

If its the mod I am thinking of....well, lets just say he and I have had our disagreements with Lids in the past.
I also thought earlier in the season that Lids didn't work hard enough for whole quarters.....and gets tagged out of the game too easily.
The 'mod' argued that Lids is 'elite'.....to me, someone like Judd or Ablett are elite...and Lids has a long way to go to reach this level.

Tagged by Liam Picken in the Dogs clash in Round 3, he had only four disposals in the first term and one in the second. By then, the Dogs had seized control.
Now, before people have a go at me with stupid lines like "do you want to trade him?" : ......in Lids defence, he is still young and will get better.
He needs a coach to help him raise his game to the next level which I think he is capable of and to learn had to shake a tag (which is RUN and WORK HARD!)
And last week against Freo was another perfect example of what Lids is capable of....we just dont see it consistently enough at present, thats all.
At the moment Lids is a 'very good player' for us....but he is not 'elite' yet.
