Re: Brett Deledio

Notice little piece in todays sun with Deledio's manager saying how negotiations have begun re new contract. He said Richmond wouldn't want to loose Brett & he wouldn't want to leave Richmond

all managers play that game....more to be played out there...

Re: Brett Deledio

It sounded like Brett told his manager he doesn't want to go anywhere else, just get the deal done.

I am happy about that. Sometimes it is hard to tell whether he's passionate about the club, but that's just his nature I suspect.

As for Lids vd Cotch? I'd take Cotch personally, that kid will be a top 5 player of the comp within 2 years.

I have often thought the same. But whilst singing the theme song he seemed to put some feeling into it

Re: Brett Deledio

I think the downhill skier accusations might die down now - Lids showed last night that he can turn around his team and provide the spark the team needs. Great run all over the ground, especially good to see desperation and tackling added too!

Yep this is where he really won me last night. At times I've doubted whether Lids was going to make much improvement to this area of his game, but last night he showed that he is no down hill skier, which was extremely pleasing.

Re: Brett Deledio

it will be at least 15 years before the Lids V Cotch debate will be solved if ever, however me only question mark with Lids is that his too good a bloke he needs to start to hate the oposition

Re: Brett Deledio

Raises the question, what is fair market value for Deledio?

I think we are looking at 3 years, 1.5 million. He will be pushing $500k in the open market.

If he wins another BnF then that figure will rise.

Re: Brett Deledio

Just be happy we have both Cotch and Lids. Both wil finish their careers as wonderful players. They are both our long-term future and key to our midfield.

yep, and hopefully they will push each other to bigger and better things along the way.

Cousins shows how over-rated Deledio is!

Deleted - don't avoid the swear filter

Re: Cousins shows how over-rated Deledio is!

Up to new coach to try to instill some confidence back into the blokes WE KNOW can actually play.

Re: Cousins shows how over-rated Deledio is!

Is that a record?
Don't know whether I agree or disagree with your opinion Sir. :hihi

LEAVE HIM in the middle - then if he doesnt run he doesnt get a kick - simple
