Tigerdangerous said:Not at all moved by this assessment of Deledio. He played soft, over many years and in very poor sides never, never stood up as a leader to push our sides across the line to win close games and be seen as a leader to follow. His skill set was not matched by his selfish personality and weak heart. He played most of career at the Tigers in a comfort zone, that with a better side around him and coaches who demand the best from their players probably would have been moved on long before now.
You simply cannot build premiership sides around these types and the fact he’s no longer a Tiger is proof of this reality. A question – the best year for Deledio in a Brownlow was when? He’d been cruising for far too long in the yellow and black.
Rubbish. He's a rolled-gold superstar and it's very disappointing that he felt he had to leave and needed a new start. Will make us look like chumps when we play GWS next year. Will end up playing forward and kicking 40+ goals, then we'l be asking ourselves why he couldn't have played that role for us. Fair dinkum..
Oh and "You simply cannot build premiership sides around these types and the fact he’s no longer a Tiger is proof of this reality", you realise that sentence makes absolutely no sense at all ? So we're on our way to building a premiership side now that Lids has gone. Shows you how *smile* *smile* Geelong and the Bulldogs are at building premiership sides given they both wanted him as well, and next year's premiership side got him.
