Lids has clearly been reading PRE.

The only two coaches he's worked under have been Wallace and Hardwick.
A lesser player would have walked along time ago.

Deledio one of our best in all 3.
Definitely against Port, leaving him out just shows that you're being salty.

He has lived with, benefited from and been dragged down by the Tiger army throughout his entire tenure at the club.
Who of us can really understand what it is to be a top end draft choice playing in the fish bowl of Melbourne, where Richmond spends most of the year on either the front or back pages of the paper.
No doubt as a supporter group we can be a marvellous positive force for our players, but equally we can be a bunch of destructive dim wits.
What does the split personality of supporters actually do to players over such a long period?
None of us would want to work in an environment where you could be put on up on a platform today and pilloried a week later.

Only 759 pages in 12 years on PRE says it all. ;D

Baffling attitude... so what are Prestia, Caddy and Nankervis and what do you wish them ?Broders said:Well he's a traitor now so I hope his calf and Achilles issues force him into early retirement round 1 next year.
Bullarto Tiger said:I have always held this sense that Deledio thought he should have been appointed captain before Cotchin ... this was a massive blow to Deledio, in my opinion, but he retained his professionalism and played to the best of his ability, injury permitting.

The guys got an attack of the Buddy's he wants to start again, be anonymous, be outside the fish bowl looking in for a change. After 12 years good luck to him irrespective of the circumstances he will always be a Tiger
There are plenty of times he played very well in winning teams against quality opposition. A couple of games in recent years in Sydney spring to mind, a stellar game against the hawks in 2015. It's just straight out wrong.Tigerdangerous said:Not at all moved by this assessment of Deledio. He played soft, over many years and in very poor sides never, never stood up as a leader to push our sides across the line to win close games and be seen as a leader to follow. His skill set was not matched by his selfish personality and weak heart. He played most of career at the Tigers in a comfort zone, that with a better side around him and coaches who demand the best from their players probably would have been moved on long before now.
You simply cannot build premiership sides around these types and the fact he’s no longer a Tiger is proof of this reality. A question – the best year for Deledio in a Brownlow was when? He’d been cruising for far too long in the yellow and black.
