Deledio , leaving has more to it than we are all being told, my tip is he didn't get on with some of the big 4 and leadership group , an individual you could say.
Balme even said it , no point keeping him if he doesn't want to be there .
For me lm glad he is gone , wont play 2 years at the Testube club..

Who players do you think he didn't get along with?

He's close with Cotch and he's pretty good mates with Jack and Ivvy, so we can cross them off already.

yeah look the deal was the right one, but I doubt Deledio was the instigator of all this.

was always a solid clubman.

at least that's how it looked from the outside.

Great show of respect by Lids to the tiger faithful today on his instagram, good on you mate, all the best to you :clap

Classy effort. Good luck Brett Deledio. You gave it your all and your best for the Yellow and Black. And enjoy any success that might come your way at GWS.

The future picks need to be used on players of quality, one of whom might reach the standards of Deledio.

So that's a tick or cross for the club?

Worst player in the recent history of the club. I've had a gutfull of all the nice words on this thread. No skills, no speed, made us look clumsy everytime he touched the ball. How messed up is our scoring system that he won two B&F's ? And we would have done so much better in those three finals if he hadn't played. Hopefully now that deadwood has gone Bernie has a clear run at it.

Another player departs without a premiership. The club continues to lose relevance...
So you are an irrelevant poster posting irrelevant comments about an irrelevant football club?

Maybe mate, and don't want to doubt your info but if it came from inside the club they will always put it back against the player.

That's exactly, brother. The club will always put it on the player.

Who wants to pay full odds for a player not wanted by his own club?

i wouldnt mind putting 50 cents on Deledio falling out of love with Hardwick and his garbage game plan.

There were rumors of a few senior tigers who were disenchanted with Hardwick, i wouldnt be surprised if Brett was one of them to be honest hence the desire for success having a bearing on decision to move on.

Under Hardwick such success is unlikely, and now was the right time for Brett to move to get security and probable success.

That said winning a Flag with the Giants would have to be somewhat hollow as opposed to a Rollicking MCG and the Mayhem of a Tiger flag.

In todays article Brett said he had a beer and a chat with Hardwick last Friday i think. Dont think theres any issues there from Bretts side, i keep hearing from different people that its not a bad thing he was moved on as he was somewhat disruptive to the team first mentality, and took offense at some of the Gerard Murphy leadership discussions, if true i would imagine Hardwick having a beer telling him thank you and how great he is and see ya later...

I wonder if thats how the dogs go about things, or the hawks.. A collective of people with the same purpose and agenda will always beat a group of individuals, at anything.

Edit; i want to also say i am not saying this is fact, its just what ive heard and tend to beleive myself

A collective of people should not require professional motivators. What was the old saying, "if everyone is thinking the same, no one is doing any thinking". Kind of showed in some of our insipid team performances last year. The best shrink Richmond ever had was Rudi Webster, pinched off Carlton for the 1980 season. Best thing he did was get involved in a lively physical scuffle with the Blues on match day. Leading from the front.... lol
