Roughead is technically still playing isn't he?

Harry said:As I said you can either face facts or live in a state of fantasy. The more things change the more they stay the same and it'll be more wasted generations. Changing deodorant can't mask the stink and the entire place needs a full knockdown and rebuild. Why did deledio want to leave? Perhaps we should get EY to review this as those in charge wouldn't have a clue.

All the while after he talked about being a one-clubman, denied the rumours and said he was a contracted RFC player. Also contacted Cats, then said his preferred club (with family down there, it's all pretty obvious). Also said would not go interstate!! But look at what happened after Cats wanted huge overs.
I have loved Lids at RFC. Will really miss him and regret we didn't win a flag with him. But, even if you were inside the club, there would be different views on him amongst the players and personnel. There is talk of him being a Figjam; all this flakey, pretend deception makes it easier for me to believe.
In the end, he put himself first. Maybe can understand, but see you later. Not sure you are certain to take a place in the best 22 at GWS over the next 3 years. Fond memories.
Broders said:Brett Deledio traded to GWS for a future 1st round and a future 3rd round pick.
Given the first round pick was first assigned to Geelong we have effectively traded him for an end of first round and end of third round in next years draft.
Disappointing that we couldn't have got a first round pick in this years draft. Only time will tell but i feel we could have done better.

Baloo said:He went to GWS which made his return a lot better. 1st and 2nd round pick. Massive overs. I'm glad he agreed to go up there and not insist on Geelong.
We got 12 great years out of him an also set is up well for the future with his trade. As much as I have no time for players that choose to leave us, in this instance I hope Lids wings a flag. He'll always be a tiger

This is the most ridiculous post I have read in a long time, you really don't understand at all, such a narrow barrackers opinion.....do you think players shouldn't look after their future... to stay loyal....I can tell you clubs do not show any loyalty when it comes down to it. Stop judging players on hearsay. If you think everybody in any football club likes everyone else then you have never been involved in a football club. Also I'm not sure I would be trusting what afl club administrators say to be true.leon said:According to Balmy on SEN this morning, Lids expressed interest in a change of club for renewal, to re-invigorate etc. This is consistent with Geelong's Wells statement too.
