Re: Brett Deledio

The first gamers form carlton had a bigger influence and a bigger CRACK - harden up Brett and have a go !

Give a tip and think carefully....lids is underdeveloped, and clearly cant play on the ball or else they would, im scared to think how cotchin is going to ever excell..

Yeah because he didn't play on the ball last year did he. As for being underdeveloped, do you mean physically? Because he certainly isn't physically underdeveloped.

He had a bad game last night, maybe it was poor attitude.

Re: Brett Deledio

Im not sure what to say about Lids anymore....hasnt come on like i thought he would. Maybe Brett hasnt got what it takes to be a champion or super star. That sounds harsh but perhaps reality is he will be just a very good footballer. I dunno....

But its time the kid grew some balls and played in the guts....there seems to b a reluctance to play him in the centre circle...If he cant make it in there then thats fine...he should become a half backer who can actually use the ball ala Hodge.

Re: Brett Deledio

Hopefully this was the lowpoint in his career and he can rebound quick smart.

No doubt he will - some garbage being written here about a very good footballer who had a poor night. At least we know he can turn it around. No hope for a few of his perennially underachieveing teammates.

From memory, didn't he have a shocker last year in round 1 or was that the year before? When he had that dead animal stuck to his head.

Which raises another point, what happened to Judds roadkill.

It might have got caught on some banner sticky tape.

He is a soft outside player who would not know want a hard play was.

Total *smile*. Won that Army award last year for most courageous bit of play in the AFL.

He did play his worst game ever last night; he was shocking like 19 others. But he is a very good player and will bounce back.

However, it is hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys.

Re: Brett Deledio

I was looking for this thread!

A very good player with tremendous skills... had a very poor match (did he injure his hand?) along with about 17 others IMHO. But, he is not an in and under player, never has been and probably never will be.

It's the 'non hard' side of Lids I have never enjoyed watching!

:ban this side of your game Brett!

Re: Brett Deledio

Had a shocker like pretty much everyone else.

He'll be good next week.

Re: Brett Deledio

Why was our reigning B&F and our most "elite" midfielder start the first game of a new season at half forward??? Should have started the year in the guts IMO.

Also, for an elite kick of the footy, his kicking in from a behind is ALWAYS poor.

Re: Brett Deledio

Anyone who wants to stick the boots into Lids might not have much longer to do it in my opinion. I get the impression, just a gut feeling, that he is going to be hard for us to resign, and negativity will not help.

He had a poor game, he'll come back. Don't think it helped that I for one could not work out where the hell he was playing, and he looked just as lost. One of the few players in our squad with elite skills, and a bloke we cannot afford to be without.

Re: Brett Deledio

If he is going to be hard to re-sign then that is up to him. He is certainly going to have to shoe far and away more than he has shown for us to garner a bit of interest. Hed certainly hasn't done enough t0nam e hi s privece

I have no doubt we'd have most clubs in the league taking a serious look at him and would make a play if they though he was available. He is young and clearly has the skills to play AFL. Any team would back themselves to give him a new environment and watch him flourish.

Re: Brett Deledio

Just heard on 3aw that Deledio did not touch the ball for the first 40 minutes on Thursday night. Amazing.

Re: Brett Deledio

just got on the computer , cannot believe what I'm reading. You cannot have played the game to be bagging a kid on one bad quarter, especially when he has played so many good ones. He actually averaged 7possies a quarter for the last three. Don't take your temper tantrums out on a player just so it makes you feel big, grow up get some maturity .
