Brett Deledio (merged)

I heard from a certain some one who chatted with Terry that Plough said BRett Deledio has such athleticism and work ethic that he is going to be quote " head and shoulders above the rest of the club".

Bloody dud got beaten by Andrew symonds and billy slater in the Afl kicking challenge in the Rexona australias greatest athlete challenge. Suppose to be his pet event.

Lid's just couldn't compete with Roy's sledging...

Trade him. Hopefully he outscored them in running through the minefield to score a Try. Maybe Storm will do a direct swap for Greg Inglis.

Re: Brett Deledio

I didnt want to start a new thread but I dont think Lids should be spared of the critisism everyone else is getting. He was fairly average tonight.

Anyone know what he did to his hand?

Re: Brett Deledio

Don't know what he did to his hand - but he was terrible tonight. After a B&F last year - he needs to go to another level this year. However his work ethic tonight was woeful. Has the talent but needs the focus and resolve to reach the upper bracket of elite players and be to the RFC what we need him to become - our Judd.

I am a big fan of Lids, but I havent see much development in him since arriving at Tigerland. I'd really like to see Lids play more in the centre of the ground.

I am really starting to question our development and coaching staff. We havent been able to delevop too many players. Many have been recruited with high praise and hopes, but fail to deliver.

It makes you wonder if Lids had gone to Hawthorn for example, would be have been a better player ? We must give credit to Hawthorn as they have delevoped some very good players.

Give a tip and think carefully....lids is underdeveloped, and clearly cant play on the ball or else they would, im scared to think how cotchin is going to ever excell..

Re: Brett Deledio

From memory, didn't he have a shocker last year in round 1 or was that the year before? When he had that dead animal stuck to his head.

Re: Brett Deledio

On last night's effort I would say that was his worst game of footy EVER! His turn overs, sloppy disposal, poor decision making was as composed as Bowden's. Some of his kick ins were atrocious and his handballs were nowhere. Hmmmmm perhaps he was following team rules. Lids you gotta lift son.....be the leader you are......

Re: Brett Deledio

Tried to get involved and fatten up the stats late in the game, but when the heat was on and we needed our class to stand up, he went missing.

Re: Brett Deledio

Very disappointing. We need him to stand up and become a leader and deliver on the big stage. He went missing (along with many more) last night.
