Lids *smile* all over Murphy. Selwood's a different story. He is a bona fide gun but a bit of a different player than Lids. More of an inside distributor than Lids the linebreaker and carrier. Both really good players but Selwood ahead at the same stage of their careers. It should be noted however that Selwood has the distinct advantage of playing his entire career so far in one of the most dominant sides we've ever seen. Lids has spent his entire career in struggling sides (putting it mildly). If Lids was in the current Geelong side IMO people would be talking about him as an absolute superstar and he'd be All-Australian.

Heard a Hawks supporter on the radio who was bitter about the weekend who was responding to a Tiger caller laughing at how bad the Hawks kicking was he responded with the Hawks are laughing that the Tigers took Deledio & Tambling before Franklin!! I would take Lids every day of the week over Buddy!!

What a terrific year lids has had, definitely has moved into star status category and happy to hear good ol mike sheehan sing his praises "on the couch" when he said lids is an elite player....I think Lids or richo will win the B&F and tuck coming in a close 3rd...
I said earlier in the year that I would swap Lids for Griffen in a heartbeat. I AM AN IDIOT WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT FOOTY.
