seems to have lost some of his zip...

Put the jets on twice in the last fortnight, t80. The only times I can recall this year. Whatever it was it's coming good. That's why I'm thinking he might be about to go ballistic (like he's not already :hihi).

When he made that dash running from defence & straight throw the middle,a Melbourne supporter sitting next to me said "who the hell is that" i replied with a grin "Deledio" the zip is back

Am watching and thinking sink the slipper, go the torp and dob the thing from 65 and he handballs. He has a 65m torp, what the hell ,let it go, is Wallace going to drag him just cos he couldn't kick it more than 40m with a top spin bounce.

You know, I've got a conspiracy theory.

Reading the Record on the weekend, I noticed that one of Trent Cotchin's idols is a certain B Deledio.

Now, Brett's being showing very good form this year, and especially in the last few games, culminating in last night with some eye-catching runs through the centre.

So, my theory is...I reckon he's showing off in front of Cotchin. Thoughts? ;D

agree its his best feature yet he waste it too much with handball getting cheap possies.

Cheap possies?? ::)

He probably could kick more but the way he's setting up play with his vision and handball is sensaional at the moment.

im not sure whether its his own doing or coaches instructions but he doesn't kick it enough.

Probably true but often lack of presenting down field means he has to stop and prop a bit and look sideways.

Thoughts?

Read post #720 on this thread (back one page) and you will see my thoughts on exactly that... ;)

Agree with Puddles and Skybeau with a slightly different take.

I reckon the bloke (Lids) is a bit threatened (by Cotch). And with good reason. They're both that good.

Sorry, disagree, don't honestly think that professional players (regardless of age) should be intimidated by their team mates. We need less excuses for these guys.

Anything you can do, I can do better..

If that's indeed what it is the competition is healthy.

17 & 21 years of age. So much good footy in front of these guys. 8)

Totally agree but although this is such an established business the only way of survival is still respect for each other and teamanship.

I don't think he wants to be handballing as much as he is, I think the side needs to work harder to keep the ball in the hands of the guns, that's himself, Cotch, Axel, Morton, Tiger Brown, Whitey etc. Blokes like Tuck, Bowden, Patto, Kingy, Jackson, etc, need to be doing the bullocking work to give these guys some space.

Bowden bullocking work? He won't even lay a shepherd.

I think you're being a bit naive, Snap. Nothing wrong with a bit of internal competition.

Exactly, TofO.

Yes, as a long time footy player i agree with you Gypsy Jazz. The only problem i am seeing is two young guns with very little experience and a severe lack of direction drawin six shooters blindly at 15 metres.

Exactly, TofO.

Do agree with the prospect of potential great players but the internal competitiveness is indicative of how the side plays.
