Thanx Willo,
yeah i ask questions and he gives nothing back to support his argument, i also stated that ive missed 7 games in 20 odd yrs and his reply was,
WOW what a sad life. I see you have achieved plenty in the last 20 years.

How he can ascertain what my life has been and what ive achieved is anyones guess...

Re: Brett Deledio

I think Deledio will improve. He has been one of our better players over the last few years. We wont trade him so lay off. He just needs to be more consistent. He may have not had a karge amount of possesions last week but he kicked a couple of goals. He doesn't need to rake up huge numbers he just needs to do his job. I expect that there will be good things from him this year afgter finishing in the top 5 in B&F last year. He will get better with age. He will need a good game tomorrow to back it up. He also wouldn't have been 50 in Mike's top 50 if he wasn't good (mind that Richo and a few ther players were left out.) Everyone who is bad mouthing him give him a bfreak. GO LIDS!

does anyone talke that top 50 crap seriously? he didn't even include the no. 1 centre clearance man in the AFL

Re: Brett Deledio

I wouldn't say I have concerns yet about Lids but I would agree that he will at some stage need to step up and prove he can go to the next level - like Foley did last year.

I would wager that if you lit a fire under him akin to Jake King there would be a distinct improvement within a few weeks. The kid has already proven he has the skills/ability to be a champion, now all thats left is his desire to be one.

Needs a big one tomorrow. Looked good in his first year but the last 2 years have seen no improvement. It scares me this year could be one of the same. I know he is only 21 but If he dosent improve soon he could become potenial trade bait this year or the next.
C'mon lids

What a ridiculous comment. He's one of the most reliable and efficient players in the team, he may have the occasional quiet game but he rarely plays a poor one. He's settling into a new role too so I think you're being harsh.

Re: Brett Deledio

I think Deledio's problem is That everyone had him as the next Chris Judd .He finished last year well as a marking goalkicker ,so lets get 45 goals out of him with about 30% game time up the ground.
Go LIDS! :)

Re: Brett Deledio

Thouht Lids was very ordinay indeed last year,as was the team obviously, but he did fire up quite well late in the season after coming back from that kick on the hand from Shannon Grant. Time for some payback against these kangas Id say.

You live in a fantasy world. In the last 2 years tell me how many times he has been in our best 3-4 players. it would be less than 3.
Apparently I live in a fantasy world too. Lids polled brownlow votes in 3 matches last year.

You guys are all very touchy about Deledio. I try to voice my opinion on a thought I have on one of our players and you guys can't have a mature conversation. See you all at the game.

Re: Brett Deledio

Richmond have bigger problems than Deledio's perceived lack of form. He had an average game by his standard last week yet still managed two goals. Imagine if he played well?

Re: Brett Deledio

For those of us who insist on immature arguing techniques like backing assertions with actual evidence AFL Insider Website is doing on interesting series about the 2003 draft. One year further on than Lids and co the 03 class aren't all doing so great:

What was that you said in another post about mature conversations Tigerman91?
