Will Grant get sighted for this?
Lids had 1 hand on the ball and grant tried to soccer off the ground and got his hand.

Broken hand according to Wallace. 4 to 6 weeks out.

Broken thumb i think to be more to the point.

Depending on what part of his thumb is broken and in what way could require surgery and possibly almost see his season out if bad enough.

We'll wait and see.

Bad luck for the kid.

I saw this on Foxtel and let me say, in this day and age of "duty of care" this should be get 3-4 weeks... it won't. The effort by Grant cannot by viewed as an accident - I would regard it more of a weak as pi## effort...

The bloke on the ABC was suggesting that Lids was soft for not going back on the ground. Was saying that Richmond have wrapped him in cotton wool for too long, and it was time he showed some leadership and played on through some pain.

I've never had a broken hand or thumb, but I'd reckon its pretty painful and not real helpful for playing football.

Whoever it was - you are an idiot.

Maclure is full of it. A broken finger I could see coming back on but not a thumb.

Impossible to come back on with a broken thumb. Maclure wouldn't have been aware of the extent of the injury I'm sure. Either that or he's never had a broken thumb.

Yeah well he shouldn't speak from a position of ignorance. For some reason he hates Richmond at the moment, or Wallace. I suspect the latter because I can't remember Maclure being as strident against us when Frawley was there.

I agree. You can't go in boots and all when another player has his hand on the ball. Clearly negligent at the very least in my opinion. There was another incident in the last in our backline. Cant remember who but we got a free for dangerous play when his head was nearly kicked off his shoulders in mid-air by a wayward attempted kick at the ball.

I am sure Maclure had money on Richmond tonight. Its only explanation for his angry frustrated commentary. HE sounded like a frustrated Richmond supporter who was going over the top. He said a lot right about us - but going on about Delidio in the manner he did was ridiculous

You after a commentator who doesn't speak from a position of ignorance? Give me a yell when you find one.

Nah he's been like that before since Wallace took over, ridiculously over the top in his criticism of us.

Definitely should get sited for it , but probably wont, much to my disgust. Weak effort by Grant IMO. If a player has his hand on the ball you should definitely not swing the boot. Th rules were changed a year or 2 ago to cover this. Remember when King of the pussies swung his boot & nearly kicked Jeff Whites head off. Duty of care issue for sure.
A for Maclure the man is a moron of the first order, ignore him, he & his comments are a waste of space.

I saw him come off, Brett, I thought it was a broken arm, I have never (touch wood) broken anything but could not imagine the pain it would bring. He is a kid, that Maclure bloke sounds like a real tosser.

Coming off the ground, you could see the fracture in his hand.Speaking from personal experience it wouldn't suprise me if he needs a couple of pin's inserted!
