Brandon Ellis

Looking back at his season I reckon a few here need to admit Dimma handled Marlon nicely when he gave him a small public bake. Turned Marlons season right around.

Or maybe that was Chocco's idea all along.

Quite possibly Baloo.

He has improved out of sight since that baking.

I liked it when Ellis publicly stated he deserved the baking (and was genuine about it) - shows his character.

Hard to believe he only turns 21 next week!

Just behind lids for BOG last night. Looking at top three in the B&F and is only in his third year. Gun and many on here are blind to it.

A few around here are even wanting to trade him. Good call out.

Good game last night against his own age group , he just needs to get the Alex Rance moment's out of his game a real bargain at pick 15 .

That was how I saw it, too. How many 30+ possession games has he had this season? They all seem to be coming in a row, too.

Currently 22nd in the league for disposals which may be higher at rounds end - amazing effort!

29th in league for marks;

26th in league for running bounces.

When you look at the other aspects of his game, this guy is seriously close to elite if he continues this form.

And turns 21 today. Very good footballer. Read again, he is 21!!!

He's everywhere this bloke. Love his engine. A really good player now. They will start trying to clamp him but that will just free up someone else

There was a thread a while back comparing Ellis, vlas and conca and who would be considered the best player in a few years time. A lot of differing opinions on who people thought would be the standout, but you would have to say Ellis is miles out in front of the other two.

He is Mr consistency now, and his elite engine makes him a ball magnet.

Vlaus is only into his second year, so hard to judge but to be honest I have been a tad disappointedin his improvement from last year. Conca now into his fourth year and needs a full preseason to judge him properly but appears to have stagnated. Loving Elliss improvement this year, such a bargain at pick 15 and appears to be of great character.

Will be interesting to see how he goes next week against a decent side. I have alot of time for him but it's games like next week matter not against bottom sides.

26 plus disposals against most top 8 teams this year including 29 against Freo and Port, 35 against Sydney, 27 against Geelong and 32 against the hawks but anyway....

Think the field has narrowed to 2 now. Between Ellis and Vlastuin. They're both going to be guns and hopefully vying for the honours of who is best for many years to come.

that gave nme a chuckle.

I actually think he's a real smoky to take out the BnF.

Rance, Astbury and Miles probably haven't played enough games, so I think it's between Dusty, Cotch and Brando.

Ellis has been chugging along really consistently for 2 and a half months imo.
