Wow does he work for a crust. Breakout season.
What a fantastic selection in a heavily compromised draft.

Inspired pick by FJ.

Let's hope he can pick another three of these types in next draft.

And this bloke is a gun.

The type that we needed to improve, has taken his opportunity on the wing as he should . He an Miles are certainly helping the other mids by taking away shut down roles

Very impressive that he takes marks in the defensive goal square but is also an option up front. Playing really well. Has become a player the opposition needs to put time into

You have a most piteous guilt complex. ;D

BTW Brandon came of age last night. He got real interested when the ball was going the other way. Clearly BoG for mine.

His 8 votes on Friday means he has overtaken Dusty as the Tigers leading player in the Coaches Player of the Year Award. Definitely a quiet achiever, doesn't get much media attention for what he contributes.

He gets recognition for being a good kick. That's about it. Not that its a bad thing, keeps him out of the spotlight. Everyone focuses on lids cotch and dusty.

After some real consistent efforts I would have to say that Ellis is well and truly elite now.

When we drafted him I thought his ceiling would be a Stanton/Montagna level of winger. I firmly believe his ceiling is closer to someone like Ben Cousins. Pure accumulator and now runs both ways. If he adds goal kicking, look out.

Top 3 for sure. Another 30+ disposals.

When will he get the same recognition Heppell does?

Heppell's gone up notches this season especially with the skipper role he has....better than Jabba at times I must admit. Brando needs to keep progressing and has the tools to get there.

Definitely elite.

Here are some numbers:

1st in the league in uncontested possessions
2nd in the league in effective disposals
7th in the league in total disposals (2nd since round 6 avg 29.5 a game)
11th in the league in rebound 50's

Once he adds a few more goals he should be a perennially AA. If he started the first handful of games in this form he would be AA this season at 21. Still should be close to making the squad.

Good post jimmy. Egg and face are two words that come to mind when I look at this entire thread.

And re. the posts about Heppel people need to remember he has another year at AFL level and an illegal supplements program over Ellis!

Starting to play like, gulp, I hate doing this. Dane Swan is his prime. But a better kick.
