So your basically saying that "the Grigg factor" is rubbing out on our kids.
Get rid of him.....

If that's what it takes I'm all for it.....

Wouldn't be surprised if he's missing the start of 2014.

Caught Murphy flush in the head with a little bump.

he was on Armfield for most of the day, eh? Unlike last time when Armfield destroyed him Brandon won the day. Albeit a ways off his best. Second year player targeted? Probably a bit too high in our hierarchy of importance given his tender age.

Ellis had a cracken year and was IMO by no means disgraced today.

How that got the "all-clear" from the match review panel and other pathetic, soft love taps have got weeks during the H&A year is mind-blowing.
Obviously glad he got away with it but the inconsistency or unprofessionalism of the MRP to not have that even looked at certainly raises some eyebrows.
I honestly believe that the fact it was an advantage free kick so the cameras followed the ball away from Murphy (see 2min 10 sec left in 3rd quarter) who did well to get up so quickly and not lay there like a South American soccer player were the sole reason he got off. Brandon flat out turned his hip and lined up Murphy in the side of the head who was picking up a loose ball and had no protection. Murphy would be feeling lucky he got him in the temple and not a little bit lower in the jaw that he broke mid year cos' his season could have easily been over.

Skilful & talented player BUT have witnesed him lately disappear quicker then David copperfield.
He will learn what is required to take him to the next level.
Pity Houli didn't handball to him to put us 38 up in the 3rd qtr..
Houli panick merchant

yep..that was the turning point in the match,,,carlton rebounded for a gaol..and got 4 more after that in ten minutes,,,,terrible of houli not to handpass it off

Maybe that's why Dusty did the crossed wrists thing!

Pretty sure Tuck should have hand passed to Ellis in the 3rd also he was open & could have ran to about 20m out & slotted the goal.

Yeah, I remember that one as well. Tuck had a shot from 55 out, he had Ellis riding shotgun and could have run in another 25m.

Roos mentioned Brandon on On The Couch. He seems to like him, openly wondered how many players Brandon's age and level of experience merit a tag the way he does.

Tuck missed him and then Houli missed him as well with a handball opportunity.

I like Brandon with the ball running towards goal, great finisher. Another couple of what ifs from a horrible day.

But the year is a massive success for Brandon, really came on so strong. Should play another 200+ games.

This. Second year outside mid racking up fantastic numbers and is developing elite disposal.

Great pick. Great player. Now if we could just get Talyor Adams across...

Huge compliment for a 2nd year player to attract a tag in a big game. Huge upside.

Just watched the Ellis 'season review' vid on the RFC website.

http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2013-10-17/ellis-season-review

This kid is super impressive. Intelligent, team oriented, down to earth - to go with his obvious on field talent. Going to be an absolute champion.

How exciting to watch Flossy, Conca and Ellis come through together and be the nucleus of a champion Tiger team going forward.

Dusty can learn a lot from these guys.

RFC has just launched 'Brandon's Buddies' to replace 'Cotchy's Cubs' for the youngsters.
Gives you a fair idea what esteem the club holds him in already.

Do you reckon there was any consideration at the RFC whether to give that job to Dusty?

The youngsters could have been offered free neck tattoos and an instructional 'don't argue' DVD as part of the package. :hihi

Two Brandon Ellis moments stand out for me :

1) That running goal in 2012 where he sank the Saints;

2) Seeing him absolutely dominate against the Dee's this year - a sure sign of things to come.

Having only played 2 years, this kid still has a good ceiling of potential and can be elite.

Not bad for a pick 14 which netted us Stevie Morris and pick 15 (Ellis).

;D

'Dusty's Hommies' does have a certain ring to it.
