The good news is, super-sub, that he won't be. The even better news is that out of our last three R1 picks, he might end up No.3. I think Floss will be the best of them but all three will be guns.

Have said this to plenty but maybe not here: Eliis might just end up the best of them all. Work rate mentioned, overhead, courage, poise, kicking, physique, speed. Looks like he is loving playing.no sign at all that he won't keep improving.

Agree here. He just gets it done. Was even able to spoil Roughies certain mark in the last quarter. A true midfield utility in the Geelong mould is Ellis.

I love the way this guy plays. Hard at it, skillful, great decision making. More Ellis's please.

He and Flossy rarely lose one on one contests. You get 22 players that can beat their man and get the ball and there is your flag right there. Great recruiting and good philosophy in general, lets have more kids that will win their own ball.

Love this kid.

Ellis and Flossy have been astute selections.

Imagine when we include Adams into this midfield group next year. ;D

Regardless of what the post draft experts think he was an inspired choice. Quality player.

I think if he was fast he would've went top 5.
Marks really well for his size, kicks beautifully and runs all day.
Good, clean, reliable

Have you seen a higher work rate in a 2nd year kid?

His numbers after the sub games at the start of the year speak for themselves. Posted them last week. Roughly 25 disposals and 7 marks a game. Pushes himself to be involved multiple times in the same possession chain which gives an out to the player with the ball if pressured or in trouble.

He is my new favourite player. Sorry Dusty.

Ellis' running is what I love the most about him - always running on to get himself involved further down the field which both decreases the pressure on the team mate with the ball plus also runs his own opponent ragged.

Yeah it's his willingness to work that I admire. Runs both ways as well. Very good at quickly picking out the dangerous space and blocking it. Still a lot of improvement in him too. Still think he turns into a Jarred McVeigh.

But did look cooked yesterday in the last. The entire squad did. Very light week on the track this week I reckon.
