Burrito was going for the footy, no sniping involved....sour grapes.

I just watched it several times on the RFC website. Certainly no sniping, but he was never going to make the contest. Clearly reckless.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Firrito is an average player who uses mongrel to get a game, but he didn't do anything deliberate this time. It's a contact sport, you're going to get hit. Well it is at the moment, the AFL are doing their level best to remove the contact from it, though.

Tupperware tough, was never a chance to legitimately influence the marking contest, always going to make Brandon " earn " his keep. Ended with a headache for Brandon.

'Bout the size of it, a reckon, TM.

Bugger it. Not having much luck is our dynamic youngster.

Don't think Seven Sporf are a good source Zippers.

ROUND 15 INJURY LIST:
-Jobe Watson (collarbone - 4 weeks)
-Brandon Ellis (neck - 1-2 weeks)
-Harry O'Brien (hurt feelings- indefinite

The hurt feeling is a slight giveaway.

Pettard tweeted it too :rofl

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

He could probably play but players after concussion normally don't have great games. Club will have to weigh it up. If its a choice of Dea vs Ellis off concussion in the most important game of the season I'm going Brandon.

Fritter's a master at getting there half a second late n looking to avoid. Ellis was unfortunately tumbling backward from the mark n got smeared by the banana. What should have been a bit of body on to make him earn his mark wound up a bit uglier, but it's a signature dish for the banana.

Firrito did nothing wrong from what I remember of the replay. Foley's decision to pass to Ellis on the other hand was a bad one. Pretty sure he had a player inside or longer down the line but went for a very ambitious, somewhat stupid option of trying to hit Ellis between two Kanga players, which was always going to put Ellis in a bad position (this is just from memory, don't have the replay anymore, that got wiped quickly off the IQ). Hopefully he'll be right to play against GC. He and Houli were badly missed, just made us easier to contain and gave us less drive and run from HB and wing.

Yep when i saw it i wanted to say it was a dog act but he actually turned and tried to minimise the impact. Nothing untowards in that play.

No foul. If it was a knee that did the damage it could be suspect but it was head on the roos thigh.
An accident pure and simple
