Brandon Ellis

Ok he played his best game of the year and probably in the last 18 months.
But who actually believes he can continue with that form.
Personally I don’t.
Out Ellis in Martin.

Tonight? Verdict? I saw some poor efforts and up and unders again
Thought his third quarter was crap, and there was a couple of weak efforts that costs us scores against. His fourth quarter though I thought he was very good. He toughened up when we needed him to.
Which leads me to think that everything that's wrong is in his head. Can do it when he needs to - that's purely a mental application problem.

Not good enough. Too many flaws in his game. 1 good game in every 5 don’t cut it. Stack has his position & his measure. Once Shorty comes back, this guy has no business in seniors.

He stays atm - did some good things but needs to be more consistent over coming weeks to keep his spot as the better players start to return. If Jack Graham can be dropped for his past couple of games than Ellis needs to be vigilant.

Not the best player in the list, but very far from the worst.

And for the second week in a row, he kicked the *smile* goal.

Keeps his spot.

Not a good footballer who is in a bit of form. Drives me to distraction watching him.

Watches opponents in contests instead of the ball which drives me bananas.

Although there was one time he went the ball instead of recognising the situation. We had two on one in marking contest, he should have stayed out, instead crashed in, bowled over our player and himself and opponent ran away with the ball. Overall thought he had a great first half but fell back into bad habits in the second.

Needs to go, is absolutely useless without the ball. Guards grass! Always a couple of metres off from providing a contest.
Not sure whether to call Bobble either Gallipoli or Western Front in future. He spent most of the game in no mans land again last night.
Footy's a fairly simple game, ya go hard or ya go home. Last week Bobble went hard n had a crack at everything, played an excellent game. Last night, apart from one or two quality efforts. He gave his opponent way to much space n time. He ran at half pace. He virtually refused to commit himself to contests, waiting n hoping someone would make a mistake n allow him to latch on to a cheapie.
