Brandon Ellis

I have watched the game again and he was very good. Reminded me of how he used to play early on his career, really hard running game

After his goal, he hit the next contest as hard as anyone.

Confidence.

Brandon Ellis, as an outside player, is more Bachar Houli than Taylor Hunt. Has potential to go either way.

He was good, but that has to be the benchmark for him if he wants to keep his spot.
Thats the frustration with Brandon. We know he can play like this so when he plays like an absolute Hunt you just wonder what’s happened ???

Being one of his biggest critics, must give credit when it is due - well done Brandon - that is what we need every week. Not negotiable.

Plenty more to come from Brando as he made team of the week afl.com

They have an agenda to pump him up to create a big free agency story. Another reason why I only watch games and avoid everything else.

I do the same, (except PRE & Twitter ) but come on, Brando was great on Saturday

More than a few posters here owe Bobble a Mea Culpa or two.
Finally,he’s back on the wing where he can use his Tank and link the defence with the forwards.
Well done Bobble!!!

He plays average, he'll get rightly criticised.

He plays well, he'll get kudos.

What part of that equation don't you get?

Very good game by Brando, did the tough things on Saturday and a lot more positive in his play. I'll admit 2 weeks ago I were not keen on his elevation to the one's.

I'm not sure if someone else has mentioned it, but it seemed as if he performed so much better last game with the big names out.
Does he "coast" when they're playing? Even subconsciously?
When they were absent more responsibility fell on his shoulders and he responded.
Hopefully the bar has been set

Have the feeling that since our midfield was depleted, he was switched there from defence and subsequently played well.

Yes it looked like he played most of the game against Port on the wing. That's his best position, running is his strength. Brando on one wing and McIntosh on the other gives us some serious ground coverage.

Best game from Brando in a long time, I think he plays the Houli non-accountable role better than Houli. I think they will be both fighting for the same wing role now that Edwards has been trialed across half back.

Edwards is way more damaging and accontable off half back and that has been well recognised.

Agree.

Shed has been a revelation down back, he see's the game better, and is better overhead.
Shed along with Flossy, Grimes and Broady gives us another interceptor which helps to cover the loss of Rance.

Geez there's some easily satisfied people on here.....

He took one good mark, kicked one good goal and contested a few 50/50 balls.
Whoop-de-do!

The rest of the game he spent holding up play (giving the opposition time to man up).......when he marks he looks left, right, backwards, then chips the ball 20m (ala the 2016 game plan).......once in a blue moon he lobs a high ball into the forwards who now have extra defenders swarming all over them......and more often than not he is bobbling around in space like a lost puppy!

He was relatively good once upon a time....when we were *smile*.

Now the team has well and truly gone past Brando.
He isn't even in the top 26 any more, let alone top 22.
