Brandon Ellis

Bellis has proven to us that he can play over the years but has gone off the boil in 2018. I don't see him not recognising that and doing something about it during the off season and coming back strong in 2019 so he is a keeper for me.
I also like what Markov brings but to date he has had more off days than on days although much of that was caused by an injury prone body. If he gets that right then we have a place for him in our best 22 but that remains to be seen

Whilst he's been dropped and might not be in the best 22 come the start of the '19 season, we do need the depth. I think he will break into the team at some point next year and give us something when the time calls for it.

We will be a far better team if Brandon is forced into one of our depth players.

I would much rather that we have him to bring in than C.Ellis, Miles, Stengle or for that matter Lloyd
 
Didn't think he was travelling too badly when dropped.

One of the gut runners who allows us to have big second halves. Not sure how our last quarters went sans BEliis.

I noticed on the latest club email it has 3 players - Caddy, Prestia and Brando. The first two are sporting big smiles. Brando....must have been when lolnorf rumors were flying around!

I like Brando but that's a lot of coin for a depth player.

If he had to go to make way for a player like Scully then I'd wish Brando all the best at whichever club he ends up at and welcome Scull with open arms.

Brando is a pretty decent player who was a little unlucky to lose his place by in a team that went 19-5. We need players like him and if he gets pushed out again then it will be because we are travelling well. So much of our form this year is because players felt pressure from the vfl and we want and need that to continue

Personally I reckon Houli will make way for Markov this year
 
Tiger article says B Ellis moving into the midfield this year. Wonder if that's in the guts or as a wingman.

Wing I hope...in the guts requires that the player doesnt squib the contest
 
Interested to see how he goes. I've always preferred him in the midfield to down back. Easy to forget he was looking like a very good possession winning winger a few years ago.

Would have to be wing. Gut running best utilised here.
 
with the new 6 6 6 rule, Ellis can provide flexibility from the wing to cover defence?
Or with Conca out he is another option in the mid?
Or that as an attacking defender he has been superseded by Short.

Good luck to him, certainly a good clubman and a strong worker.
each week it will be tough to fit everyone in the 22
 
Great to see he's moving back to the midfield where he played his best footy. Play him on the wing where he can use his massive tank to run up and down the ground
 
not sure if its a good idea. he'll just spray the ball under pressure all the time. but i understand the idea behind it.
 
Just no good. Too fumbly and can't handle pressure. Defensively gives his opponent too much space. Prefer to try a Markov type in his possie.
 
He has next week to improve otherwise will go back to the VFL.

Free agent too this year.
 
Still in the best 22 for mine. Only just though.

He does provide an important option for that get out kick a lot.
