Ellis was very fumbly today. Reckon he might now be the one to miss for Lambert. Broad seemed to be playing all over the shop and not doing a great job, prefer him to go back.
I agree. Fumbly and negative. Always looked backwards first. Not the only offender but I thought he was the biggest offender along with Grigg.

Yeah thought Kmac was pretty good. What about the lace out to Jack!

Who goes out for Lambert easy? Ellis for mine. Not sure he can be trusted in the trenches these days.

yeah the bullet to jack was sublime.

Dunno who out for Lambo?

Higlet? I dunno. Never been Brando's No.1 fan, but he runs all day and does a similar role to Kmac, and yeah, when its his turn to go, he goes.

Ellis seems very susceptible to pressure to this season, even more so than in the past.
Doesn't inspire me and reckon he might be a weak link in September.
But who replaces him?

For me Brando is the one to go out for Lambert.

Only watched on phone in parts but Ellis fumbles stood out. Kmac and George cemented their spots.

Simply has to go. Shouldn’t be playing in finals and should be used as trade bait.

Some of his panic work was as bad as I’ve seen in a long time.

Unless a trade is too good to pass up I don't think we should be getting rid of Brando. Whilst he's been dropped and might not be in the best 22 come the start of the '19 season, we do need the depth. I think he will break into the team at some point next year and give us something when the time calls for it.

Fair enough - that's your view - but I can't see it happening and for good reason.
It's not long ago that Brando played a valuable role in the premiership.
Even though he lost his spot last year he's still still capable of coming in and playing a role if required.
We're gonna lose enough blokes who are out of the top 22 (Miles, BEllis, Lloyd).

Yep I'm with you on that.

Funnily enough now that we've offloaded the other guys B. Ellis is way better than all of those to have as a spare so we're in good shape...touch wood

Ditto the last couple of posts - i think Bellis will stay and provide decent depth.

He should follow his name sake and vacate the building. If you think im wrong watch the Footscray game.
If Markov can get body right he *smile* all over this bloke

Markov will be in next year as will Garthy.

Ellis was useless against the dogs and I wouldn't be getting too comfortable if I was Houli either.

i did say 'decent depth'... Markov will take his place. Bellis got woeful - not just the dogs game. i dunno maybe i feel for the dude a bit, but that doesn't help the club.

Bobble wouldn't be the first player to have a down year after winning a Grannie. Whole bulldogs side has managed two down years n probably still struggling next year.

Bobble's easily good enough to be in the side each week, he's just got to find that little bit of form, calmness n motivation that he had in 2017 n he'll be fine.
Certainly going to be some opportunity for youngsters and Bobble to put the head down n arse up over summer, there's a few mature fringe players moving out n a couple of older players fading a bit so vacancies will appear during the season. Youngsters will get the chance to put the hand up n claim a spot.

He stays for me play him on he wing. Puts pressure on both he to keep his spot and Markov or whoever else to earn the spot. Trade him out and gift his position to someone won't work in my opinion.

If BEllis is in our bottom 6 we are still in good shape imo. Markov May well overtake him and if he does he will have earned it and good luck to him.

Brando is a pretty decent player who was a little unlucky to lose his place by in a team that went 19-5. We need players like him and if he gets pushed out again then it will be because we are travelling well. So much of our form this year is because players felt pressure from the vfl and we want and need that to continue
