Brandon Ellis

150 games and a premiership for the Bobble, bloody well done. Not everyone can be the elite star n crowd favourite, made himself a damn fine career has Bobble.

On current and recent form he can't stay in the team come finals, way too risky with ball in hand. But dimma will give him every opportunity to find form as he always has. If it was my decision he'd be playing VFL

Soft. Not in my best 22 if we are at full strength for finals.

Don't accept soft.
I reckon he puts his head down whenever required and that he did some good hard stuff last night and basically did well
But he does have moments when he gets a bit flaky and agree with the rest of what you said.

We were talking last night how a year or so ago he was possibly looking forward to Reaching 150 games and that being what earned him life membership of an pretty ordinary low performing club - in which case he's well and truly exceeded that. And good on him too - he's been great for us over the duration.

Thought Bobble went alright last night, I often find myself shaking my head n wondering why when Bobble's involved, but I can't think of any disaster moments. Just thought he went about his job with very little fuss or bother.

I think he nearly always takes one too many steps with ball in hand and puts himself under un necessary pressure

I think the same to with Brando deedee.

Looks at times to stop , prop go sideways or back.

But it was an ok game. Looked to share wing & HB duties with KMac.

Was it he who couldn't run down that Geelong player in the last who ran into an open goal?

And then fell on the ground, digging a trough with his nose.

Thought he was pretty average. Was interesting play when Vlastuin had the ball, can't remember which quarter, under heavy pressure, saw Ellis on his own and would not handball to him, gets out of the tight situation pressured again and Ellis was still there as the obvious receiver and again he refused to handball to him and rushed a kick instead.

He tends to reflect the general state of the game.

When we have momentum, he grows an inch.

When the oppo does, he can be flaky.

It's unfortunate for Ellis but his deficiencies usually cost us in pressure games. Others make mistakes or don't win contests from time to time but Ellis undoes is good "workmanlike" activity with glaring mistakes in pressure situations. He has never really improved this aspect of his game. He was serviceable in the finals series last year but the clock is ticking on low long the team can cover for him.

Decent game tonight. he might be making it hard to be dropped come finals time.
Absolutely correct and we could have be a couple of vey disappointed players after team selection in coming weeks

I think he's right on the edge if everyone's fit.
Agree which is a good position for us to be in, I think he benefits with Shorts form and the attention his starting to get as well as having Houli back in the team, those 3s run and carry combines well with our rocks down back
