Who went at 15? I remember we moved back one place in the draft because we brokered a sweetheart deal with Sheedy to let Morris come to us.

Ellis and Morris for 16 is the steal of all steals

Ellis did. We traded pick 14, who was Devon Smith. Think everyone did ok out of this one...the fabled win-win trade.

Very consistent. Plays a 25 or so possession game and it's now expected. Good signs. Heard Ivvy on the ABC earlier today and he mentioned Ellis as one of those second tier players that has stood up this season and eased the load on the usual suspects.

Shot on goal, exposed lack of left foot.

From everything I read and hear from the club no one works harder than Brando on his game. I hope he is working on rectifying this and his goal kicking in general.

Seen it a few times...missed a soda late against Collingwood by going banana as well.

For all his 30 plus touch games, does he do enough with the ball? Does he really hurt sides?

What's going on with all these banana kicks last night? Can't these guys kick on their non-preferred.

Thought he was disappointing last night. The positive is always seems to back up a stinker with a blinder.

Still got his usual 30+ possessions. Just needed to kick that goal and make more of them hurt.

Agree, got burnt defensively. I think the Eagles looked to play through his man. Good plan.

Thought he was one of our best, an identical performance would have been praised if we had won.

Aside from the bananas, but he isn't Robinson Crusoe there.

Agree with SCOOP, Masten slaughtered us from half back to half forward the entire night. Interested to know what Dimma's plan for Ellis was but for mine Ellis was BOG solely based on his inability to counteract what was a mindnumbingly obvious Eagles ploy.

Yeah he was good. Played mainly head to head with Gaff and they kept a wide berth of each other but both ended with very similar stats.

31 games in a row that Ellis has picked up 20 or more disposals in a match. Not sure where that ranks him in comparison to others but is pretty impressive nonetheless.

Hopefully he can start kicking more goals.

Needs to work on his tackling, missed a few.

Got 30 touches but not damaging at all. No defensive running last night at all.

Or working both ways.

I like Brandon's footy better when he's blue collar. Not sure if that was the plan but the whole game looked a bit bruise-free.

Good questions. However, can we get one fact clear?

The BEllis outside the foot shot at goal late in the 3rd, was on his preferred (right) side. IMO, it was inexcusable that he did not back himself
to run straight on, settle and kick a normal drop punt at goal. Particularly as he had some space to do so. Dusty was just as culpable. He had
an identical kick(outside the foot) a few minutes earlier about 50m out. Dusty was also on his preferred side, the only doubt would have been
accuracy of his drop punt from 50.

These misses came at an important part of the game, a goal or two down and with some momentum going into 3/4 time.
