If so, is there going to be a table posted to see who is ignored the most?

It's not censorship or restricting one's right to an opinion as shamekha alluded to. It's not a function for those who don't choose to register/log in on the forum. It's not compulsory to use.
If people are negative about the ignore function I think I'll hide when/if they find out about some of the other new moderator options. :blah
Baloo said:How is it censorship ? Which of these definitions do you think the Ignore feature addresses ?
It's automated ignoring. Now I see a members avatar and I automatically jump to the next post. With SMF the system does it for me.
On normal days it wouldn't make much difference. On game day threads the Ignore feature is a must.
Baloo said:I don't understand how the ignore function is censorship. It's ignoring a persons posts. there I no censoring, in the true meaning of the word, about it.
I think the term censorship is way over used, abused even, much like the racism word is.
shamekha said:its a personal censoring of views and debate of someone's opinion.. self censorship.. i would compare it to only buying the Heraldsun and you always know the type of information you're going to get.. But if you read more peoples views on a subject no matter how extreme they are there is usually something to get out of it. It gives a more rounded view of the topic and also gets the extremes of both sides..
i'm not having a dig at the forum, just giving a broader view of people closing their own minds to others views
Placing oneself in a bubble

i find this and interesting one. on one hand i dont believe in censorship and think everyone has a right to their own opinion.
