Bosses of the world rejoice- PRE outage Friday 2nd December

Given that you don't seem to understand, it seems pointless telling you any of that info rosy.

And given tester himself is stumped, I'll stop asking about it. It was a feature I used all the time on the old forum when phone browsing, is why its noticeable in its absence.

That is untrue sorry sky. SMF have very good technical support backup. It's up to me, not to tester, to contact them and try and sort out issues we have with the site if we can't work it out ourselves. Sometimes I pass the info on to tester and sometimes I can make the changes myself. Either way the questions I asked you are the kind of things they are likely to ask me. The more detailed info the better.

The "jump to" box still doesn't work when browsing on mobiles.

Few questions... did it work before? were you using the same device before? and what is the "device software version" you are using?

It did work before, yes. Was using the same device I am now, which is a HTC Incredible S smartphone on Optus, running Android version 2.3.3. The browser I'm using is WebKit/533.1, whatever that means.

I've looked at the old forum code. It did the jump to stuff completely differently. The current code uses AJAX (which mean Asynchronous Javascript something... .bla - not important). Still, it should work. Have you tried clearing caches etc?

I could possibly retrofit the old style code, but I'm now in beer mode until next year - and it would make future forum (periodical) updates troublesome.

It doesn't work on my iPhone either using Safari. I'm fairly sure it used to work. No big deal for me as I only used the iPhone when the ADSL connection went down.

It's an option in your profile section.

Hold the cursor over the "Profile" button up the top then from the drop down menu select "Forum Profile" then hold the cursor over "Modify Profile" then select "IBuddies/Ignore List"
