We better get used to Lennon being gone.

The coach clearly doesn't rate him, he doesn't play him, so why would he stay?

The coach is a goose and the list manager is bigger goose Richardson
You don't loose first rounders

Geez we better not lose Lennon over a a dispute of a couple of years.

Just sign the kid at low money. Can't lose.

Carlton won't be low balling on the money front, I suspect they are prepared to pay overs to get this over the line as quickly as possible, they will then use the PSD threat with another target. Every day that passes is more indication that Lennon is goneski.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Despite all the speculating on here, I'm still confident he will stay.

It is ironic though that we picked Lennon at 12 and they picked Patrick Cripps at 13.

Good pick up tiger. I think Carton aced us with that one.

Yarran was a first rounder has been not happy at the Blues and had personal issues happening behind the scenes if he can clear his mind and enjoy the game again we will see the best of him. Which is a line breaking goal.kicker at his best.

Chaplin was also a first rounder ;D

Remember: the only place where lennon to carlton is reported as happening, is right here on this thread.

Apparently also mentioned by Scoop McLure on 3AW - Lennon and a 3rd rounder for Yarran.

Of course, if he's getting his info from here, the point is moot

There has been a bit of talk on sen. Terry Wallace mentioned that he keeps hearing about it. Then again, PRE might be his source.

To be fair, they probably aced 5-6 other clubs that had a pick before them that year, and it's about the only good first round selection they have made for the past 8 years.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Can't afford to lose Lennon. To be honest I'd rather trade Conca for Yarran - as first round picks go.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

All this speculation has come from Carlton's end. They've thrown up the name as a possible target simply because he'd be of some interest and he's out of contract. There has been no indication from anyone either at the RFC or with any remote connection to the club who has suggested we're willing to let him walk or entertain a trade. I think we'd sooner match Lennon's demands and forget about Yarran entirely than work out a swap.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

This thread certainly has a fair bit of chicken little to it.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

What's this 'can't lose 1st rounders' furphy?
Really who gives a sh!t where junior footballers are drafted?
It's just a entry ticket to the big dance. How hard they work from then on is what makes a professional footballer.
The AFL graveyard is littered with high draft picks.

Pfft, he had plenty of games, by the end of the year he couldn't run out games from half forward. I think we should re-sign him on a longer deal but don't make up stuff that isn't true.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Club doesn't want Lennon to go and are keen to re-sign him. But if he choses to leave then we would be stupid not to trade him.

I like the kid but decision is his. Love how people would rather him walk and lose a first rd selection than to use his currency. If he walks we not only lose him, but we also lose the pick/player for another trade.
