pretty sure Lambert was pushed by C Schwab

Yep, tried to trade him to Brisbane for their first round but he refuse to go.
Try to keep him but the damage was done and he wanted to leave
Nominated Carlton who offered us Brett Ratten (who was crap)
We refused that trade
Lambert ended up in the PSD and was picked up by Brisbane
Ratten had his break out year the next season
We got nothing.

We have offered a 2 year deal, I believe Carlton have offered 4 years.

Lennon should back himself in to get a god pay increase in 2 years when he's established himself. And when the next TV rights money comes in.

Going against the grain here but I like that deal.

People are being blindsided by Yarrans recent performances. He has massive upside and fills a massive hole in our team. His run and pace is something we severely lack. Unfortunately Ben doesn't provide that.

Completely disagree. To say he has massive upside is non sensicle considering his past few seasons. Has talent and looks great with his run but his number of quiet games are alarming, and says to me here's a guy who is mentally soft.

Will turn 25 later this year, so in 2016 he will be 26, so what do we get? At most another 2-3 prime years? No thanks.

Tell carltank to get stuffed, and offer then a third rounder or astbury.

Agree.

Don't worry though SA. Yazz will burn it up early next year and everyone will follow us onto the bandwagon.

Leysy has never liked Lennon and is most likely surprised at his decent form at the back end of the season.

I'll also go with this.
I am a lot more comfortable trading Ben for Yarran than I am trading off a first round pick.
I think Lennon has a shed load of work ahead of him to become a good AFL footballer and Yarran def fills a huge requirement for us. Happy for Lennon to stay but a 4 year deal for a player of questionable pace who can't run out a game is madness.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Lennon is a must keep. The shambles that was our forward line in the finals is one reason, the other is that he is in our top 10 kicks at the club.

I want Yarran but not for Lennon, I'd give up Griffiths before Lennon.

Yarrans unique. He has a birthday every 3 months. Not sure why you are using age as your argument. At 25 years old he is at the right age to come into the team and have an impact. His speed, run and carry off half back or a wing is exactly what we need.

Carlton has drained every ounce of motivation out of their players. Even there more credentialed players in Murphy, Gibbs look like they would struggle to get elsewhere.

Im reasonagly keen to get Yazzy as well, but I don't want to lose Lennon for him. Lennon is a first rounder just starting to click, there must be another way.

Tigertim is in for a long 3 months if this is the sort of work he has to enthusiastically support.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Lennon will turn out to be a very good footballer at the highest level.

A must keep I reckon.

This could bite us in the ass in the long run.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

On the other hand: if lennon wants to go to Carlton, and they Offer Yarran and Their second rounder ... It starts to get interesting.
That pick helps us chase Treloar, Bennell etc.

now we are talking

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

they want a 1st pick for Yarran so they aren't going to be offering a 2nd as well a Yarran

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Why on earth would we exchange 10 years of Ben Lennon for 1 additional year of Chris Yarran?
