Ben Lennon

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Oh well he's got another chance in the 1s after a solid effort last week in the reseves. Hopefully we see an improved senior performance.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Good luck Ben. Backing you to perform well on Sunday.

Lennon's manager understands how the system works, talks are put on hold re his contract and he gets promoted to the 1's the same week.

I believe his selection was somewhat forced as if he had signed the contract no need to give him a 1's game. Because he didn't sign and if the player perceives he is being dealt with unfairly he may well walk at seasons end.

I don't understand the politics of club selection but I do believe that some players that are selected are not in the best 22 but due to politics are selected ahead of those players who are better than themselves.

Easy to understand. If Newman wants to go on next year and hasn't ruled out the possibility of retiring then he gets selected. If he said he is retiring at the end of the year they will give him a farewell game this week and that's it. ;)

+1, if Morris is best 22 then so is Lennon. I doubt this has anything to do with politics, Tigers have known for a while that Lennon is unwilling to sign on past this year at this oint in time.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Needs the ball in space...has a beautiful shoe. Also a very good kick for goal so straight away should add something to our fwd half.

Yeah he had a really good NAB Cup match after one poor match. He's got the ability to make a reasonable contribution tomorrow. Plus, he'll be desperate to show the football world his value. Can't Imagine him not doing everything right tomorrow in terms of attitude.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

The thing about Lennon is that he is a really good user of the footy, we want the ball in his hands.

I am really looking forward to seeing him play again tomorrow

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Lennon should be spending all his time with Deledio and Knights, these are 2 players he could learn from.

Lids and Knights could show him how to run and present to learn how to role off the wings into the middle through Half Forward and be dangerous.

Once he learns how to go about it he will find more ball in places where he will better impact the games with his natural skill.

He has skill but its the ability to read the play along with poise and decision making that the class players like Lids and Knights have that makes them dangerous.

He's got a Deledio style beard at present. Hopefully he's doing more than just copying his hairstyle.

Our selection policy has been a little Russian communist this year. Lennon never gets a gig.

He'll be OK today if he can hold onto his Marx.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Hope to see him Putin a few goals on the board and some line breaking moves. Could also see him offered some extra roubles in his next contract if he gathers some senior form.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

He's queued up for long enough.

Could qualify for rising tsar with a good game.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

He's making our selectors look RED faced.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Doing well is Bertie. Certainly see the value in keeping in the squad for a run of games.

Offered far more than Newy and Gordon.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Workmanlike performance today. He ha certainly starting to learn his trade in the 2nd's. Showed promise today but still way behind C Ellis
