Ben Lennon

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

No issue with him putting his contract at off, if that's the case. But echo similar sentiments that he has a long way to go before he can consistently play at AFL level.

Understand what your saying, and it's a good point Sin.

But have posted a few times, think he has more than application issues.

He also has some decent physical limitations for his role that will be difficult to overcome ILO.

Reckon he'll need to redefine himself as an inside mid. He'll get every chance because of where he was taken but it won't be easy.
agree with this - Mundy is the role model

My brother coached Mundy in under age teams the year before he got drafted said he was extremely skilled but very soft in the contest .
He spoke to David a couple of years after he got drafted and he said he thought he was going to get delisted by Freo after Subiaco coach Peter German said he was a waste of draft pick and couldn't understand why they drafted him.
I think Ben has the same skill set as Mundy .

This is confirmed by an article on the AFL site. I can't recall if it allowed to be linked.

It is on the main page, about who may not be at each club next year.

i can't see where Lennon is mentioned.

Neither can I - the Richmond one talks about Astbury, Elton,Dea and Petterd

Got to make it IN before you are in the outer. A sign of where we are at as a club (a good sign) . 2002-2010 era, (if in that era) Lennon would have been close to ~35 games by now!!! Move to 2015 he rightful has played 7 games and has a long way to go to be a regular contributor.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Interesting the kid has closed down contract discussions.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Meh. Good move by the kid. Gets a few games by end of year his offer may go up, doesn't and he gets the same offer or looks elsewhere.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Wont want to leave it too long or there might not be any $$$ left after Tigers sign Treloar and Motlop ;D

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Eagles set to move quickly to lock down Sheed. Its in this story on the AFL site about Lennon's contract.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Wasn't Lennon the kid who trained with us as part of the AIS and we loved him. he loved us, it was a match made in heaven when we drafted him ?
