Saw him in one VFL game against the dogs, and while he did not set the world on fire, I can't see I had any great concerns. Still early days and a couple of reasonable excuses for a second year player.

It's still early days but he's a worry. Can't be denied.

The fact younger players are slowly pushing past him in the pecking order is not a good sign.

Needs to start ripping up the VFL.

I'm with you Barnzy. I don't think he is going to make it.

Does he? I'm not so sure he does.

Geez he is only 19/20 isn't he. I think he has plenty of time and if he is well managed and developed will be a good player.

Agree, he has gone backwards this year. Looks slow, too outside and short on run and carry......not a good combination.

Always came across to me as a bit of a big head. Needs someone in his ear telling him his got a long long way to go

As always we are in the perpetual present where if a player hasn't made it now they never will.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

He has silky skills, a tad slow, lets flog him over next pre season and see what he can do, hasnt had a pre season yet, i know some will say C Elliis but he had a far better tank at draft time didnt he?

Agree needs to really push hard as others are going past him

There's gazillions of cases where players are cut after a couple of seasons. Not saying he will be but I expect any contract upgraded would be modest if he's offered it. Could well be traded too.
A less than inspiring couple of seasons so far for our 2013 no12 draft pick.

Does he have a weight management issue? Looks plump.

He certainly does look plump doesn't he.

Hope he makes it though. Needs to work on his contested game. If you're slow it's particularly important you get this right.

Problem is he plays soft. He plays like an outsider but doesn't have the pace for it. Bit worrying.

Worrying indeed. I can't find a position where he can own. Certainly not a defender at AFL level. It wouldn't surprise me if we delist him, then rookie him, then delist him again because that is surely the Richmond way.

Me too. People very quick to put a line through people.

Not especially quick, needs size. If he's not getting a game halfway through next year Ill be worried.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

There is no way that we will delist a round 1 draft pick after 2 years in the system. To even suggest that could happen is crazy.

Only position I can see him playing is a half forward flanker.

This was always the risk, I was hoping for a 50/50 split, I still think he can achieve at least 30/70 but he seems to be following a similar path to Vlastuin. I still think back to his last month of footy in the TAC Cup and he looked every bit the midfielder, Brendon Goddard came to mind at the time and I'm hoping for a similar development curve.
