I have not seen Lennon play this year, has he improved his tank to a level that won't get exposed?

Last year you could tell he couldn't cover the ground to AFL standard?

We're about to find out.

Played well against Coburg in the VFL but it will be a step up no doubt.

I would play him at HB in Batchelors spot. We need quality disposal from the back half.

Agree mate, good call.

McDonough would be leysy's preference for the roll, but happy to see Ben there as well.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

The Tigers selection committee moves like the QE2, once set on a course it takes them a good deal of time and distance to change direction. Morris was awful in the pre season and has continued that form into the first few games. Lennon had a solid pre season with adequate possession numbers and some classy finishing, but clearly didn't generate enough momentum to break into the team.

If you had never laid eyes on any of them prior to the NAB cup, Lennon would be playing, Morris and Gordon would not.

Pretty quick to move on McIntosh.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

They were also quick to keep Plasma down in the twos as well.

You think?
He should have been kept down in the 2's two years ago.
And made to fight for his spot through good form.
In the ruck.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

If TV hadnt got suspended their is every likelyhood he'd still be in the one's & Griff running around at Coburg last week. ;)

Easy to say that but who would have replaced him? Griffiths was touch and go at that point whether he'd ever make it at a senior level - he wasn't ready. In the meantime Ty was still kicking his 1-2 goals per game whatever you thought of his playing style.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I reckon they were seriously looking at Jack, Big Ben and Plasma as starting 3 talls. Plasma's NAB Cup non-performance saw him dropped.

Not sure how you can be quick to keep somebody in the twos, I think that would reinforce my opinion that they are slow to change the team. Plasma was pretty bad for the early rounds last year, then earned his own holiday.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

No Lids, Knights, Conca, Lambert, Petterd.

Surely gets a go this week?

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Behind a first year draftee in Drummond apparently. Disappointing.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Quite surprised that Drummond appears to be ahead of him.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

If they don't want to play a one paced 190 cm utility why did they draft one

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Keep in mind he had a very limited preseason.

Agree

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I reckon he's not playing due to his defensive pressure. On a wet night you need people that are prepared to tackle.
