Ben Lennon

Was he playing? Couldn't run out of sight on a dark night with the lights off. This is further proof of FJ's awful selections.

It's really a killer to compare him to the Saints' Membrey.

Compared to Butler, Castagna, Nankervis and a few others who put in effort, Lemon, once again, just dozed off.

It's not his effort compared to those blokes.

He's simply just too slow to be alongside them.

he looks like hes running in knee deep molasses

He is such a horrible footballer at this level. Simply can't even half contests.

Some good judges have liked him from hid draft years.

Never saw it then - Can't now.

In fact he'll be average at State league level. Good bush footballer once the plays slows right down though.
Spot on. Has zero pace and is found out at this level.

Should ask for a refund from his sprinting coach he had over summer.

Good analogy. Ben Holland's 'Cement Boots' would be a good nickname.
I've seen that laconic jog many times at VFL level.
Lorry's aren't quick. Neither is Ben.

I'm here.

He was very poor. Still, it's only JLT 1.

Not gonna write him off yet but he's miles off it.

Yep was disappointing after his 4 goal effort in the intra club. Maybe that's his level?

When r u gonna see if he's up to it or not? Jlt def. maybe even first few games. Give him confidence give him a decent go. If he fails at least u can say we gave him every opportunity. We don't do this enough. I hate the one week in one week out theory. Give him a proper go thenu can say well he's no good. He was disappointing tonight but a few more games should be given.

He is what he is Jack.

Good in the Ovens and Murray.

It was the marking that was fatal, Leyser. He was useless overhead. Did plenty of spectating too. Capuano.

And whoever vetoed the trade to Carlton two years ago should seppuku his own arse with a teaspoon.

I think he had John Candy's old sprint coach

He is a prime example of a player that is over coached.
He is not allowed to run to the real dangerous hotspots to receive the ball as he would be getting in Jack's way.
Lennon is an instinctive footballer and unfortunately our coach does not encourage this as much as he should.
A game plan is a game plan BUT in the heat of the battle sometimes you need to take the bull by the horns and go with your gut feel.
I'm not sure if certain players, including Lennon, are allowed to do this.
By strictly following team rules you may have games where you appear to be totally ineffective. Don't blame the player in these circumstances.
