Jack Gunston averages 2.1 goals a game
Ben Lennon in 19 games has kicked 9 goals
Just in case you didn't notice, but that's awfully close to two goals a game average from young Lennon.

Pretty sure Gunston has also had the advantage of some serious quality supply from the best team in the comp over the last five years.

Lets try that again ..........................

Lloyd played a lot more up the ground today, starting in the centre square a few times.

Lennon was opportunistic. Didn't get a heap of it but made the most of it when he did.

Think Lennon will be just waiting and hoping for Lloyd to get out of form. Can't see them both down there.

Rioli Lennon Edwards/Bolton/Castagna
Griff/Nank Jack Lloyd

We only have three natural forwards ATM. We really cant afford to have one sitting in the stands.

Reckon you're right that they can't be in the same 22, 8ball. Hopefully Lennon does enough to pass Lloyd. He's got a way to go, but it's not inconceivable.

The report I read said our "new look small forward line". That is correct because we have only 2 tall forwards: Jack and Griff (and Griff is about as consistent as the bureau of meteorology so you can't rely on him too much).

So the rest of our forwards will consist of Lloyd, Lennon, Rioli, Edwards and then whoever gets their lucky number Bolton, C Moore, Elton.....Morris......Hampy!

Dare we say making the most of his opportunities... like swooper Northey? Perhaps that's going too far but good to hear he is starting to play better, building confidence before the real games start.

Lennon is taller than Royce.
Yes 5 cm taller at 190cm. Here's the Bulldogs fwd line from their GF
HF. Macrae 191 Cordy 191 Stringer 192
F. Dickson 184 T,Boyd 200 C.Smith 181
plus Picken 184, named on the wing.

So Lennon fits right in at 190. Jack 195, Grigg 190, Rioli 179 (prob 180 by now), Lloyd 180, Griff 200, Martin 187, Caddy 186 ...not looking too small!

Promising but 4 snags in a mickey mouse intraclub does not announce ones arrival.

true, but its better than a vegetarian mickey mouse intraclub.

If and its a big if,Lennon lifts his work rate and his ability to cover ground and present he could be a second CHF lead up option, similar to Stringer or Gunston especially if Grifffiths isnt making any impact.
