Ben Lennon

Yep after nobody wanted him, Lennon's career as an AFL player is on the line. If he wasnt a little more desperate I would be surprised.
Hopeful but not confident he'll be able to resuscitate his football & we get some return value for our 2013 first round dp.

Utilised in the right manner, Lennon could/will be a pretty handy player for the Tigers.
Gets his attitude right and the natural talent will complement this.

Hopefully the new coaches ARE ABLE TO UTILIZE HIM IN THE RIGHT MANNER. I have absolutely no faith in Dimma's assessment of players strengths and weaknesses.

I can't recall who Lennon set up, but he did one breathtaking kick inside 50 for a direct assist that went over the back of the defence. Showed off his smarts and kicking skill.

Agree with Scoop that he was serviceable yesterday.

Agree, SCOOPer, he was good. Busy. Brisk. And at times aggressive.

He was definitely busier, brisker and more agressive than he was in his last performance for the seniors in 2016, JD. ;D

Lennon's a very good footballer but he was suited at the lower pace of an intra club practice game. As far as his future in the 22 is concerned, I'm not sure how you could pick him and Sam LLoyd on the same forward line and Ben might lack the pace to play off half back.

Where have you got Lennon fitting in, Tigermouseau?

I’m still alone on Lennon Island but with the right game plan, he can be a huge asset.
You are alone on the Lennon Island Scoop because there is also a Lennon lorry which some of us joined a few months ago. Happy to have you on board ;D

Lorry meets island. :hihi

He took a great pack mark this morning.
Do you mean the one in the F50 3rd term kicking towards the swan st end? I was in the left FP and had a great view of it. This was more excellent judgement of a ball coming in quite hard than a pure pack mark but he had to beat a couple a metre in front and others behind. He did show that vice-like grip which others have mentioned as an asset. He moved better and looked like he wanted to be part of it, signs of confidence with a better pre-season behind him. Liked the way other players interacted with him coming off the ground...everyone has to feel wanted!

If Dimma insists playing Jack up the field Ben at 188cm (?) may be able to become some sort of "decoy " full forward. Good hands and a nice kick. He'd be the type that'll kick 3 or 4 from a few kicks....maybe...

The gauge on Lennon's new attitude will be put to the test if he doesn't make the 22 for the first few rounds of the season. If he does miss out on selection hopefully he won't drop his head. Needs to keep banging, and banging loudly, on the selection door during the pre-season competition if he wants to secure a spot in the team early on in the season.

This is the role he needs to play.

He marks it like a key position forward. Basically he needs to replace Vickery's role in our midget forward line which he can do.

Hopefully with more smarts.

Too much talk and not enough action. Still think we wasted the pick.

The Jack Gunston role.

Get him 1000 hours of footage.

Has the skill set to do it.
