Ben Lennon

First year I've seen Lennon look cut. Looks to be in incredible shape, and certainly not carrying any body fat.

I have not been particularly impressed by Lennon, but this year we'll know at the very least what he can do in peak condition.

I dont see any tricks with Ben he will be gone 2018 :clap
Other than Jack he's the best mark of the ball on our list.
Boy just needs to work hard, if he does that he'll be fine.

Oakley Nichols had speed in spades but not much else Drummond has good speed and endurance but is just average.

Some of the best AFL players lacked speed but brought other assets to the table.
To think.., Hodge might never win a grand final sprint.
The horror.... the horror.

Nah I reckon Astbury is our next best in the air.
It's Lennons hands that are so good and it's why he needs to concentrate on being a lead up forward. Lids had just about the best hands i have seen for taking a leading mark under pressure, hands like a steel trap. Jack is next but Ben is close.

It's been his lack of mobility and pace to get to enough contests to use this that has hurt him

Lennon's a pretty good mark (when he gets to the contest) but I still think it's wrong to say he's the next best mark in the team.
We can agree on Lids though.

Depends on the definition. Lennon is not a pack marker because he doesn't have the spring and size. I am talking primarily about taking the ball at full speed on the lead. It doesn't matter where he ranks really just that to me is his major asset and he needs to use it

Was serviceable today. Very good work rate. And did some smart things.

I’m still alone on Lennon Island but with the right game plan, he can be a huge asset.

Agree, SCOOPer, he was good. Busy. Brisk. And at times aggressive.

i do agree, has plenty of ability, has to show it & now the time to do so.

First time he's had an AFL body and completed a pre season, have the harsh markers called this to early? they wouldn't be alone as he was basically a free (late selection) if any club wanted him, has a lot to prove and obviously we would all love him to make it, hope from the reports he continues to give it his all and give himself a chance to have a long career..
