yep, he showed he has the rare ability to land a ball 50m away in a hula hoop space. under pressure.

This kids gonna be jacks best mate for the next 10 years.

All things going well, this young fella is going to be a gun for the Tigers.

Think the prime word here is " almost " quality plays the game with composure n time n space. If Beatlemania is first up holding n finding his options instead of simply getting a disposal n hoping then woo hoo, glory be, there's silk in that jumper.

Exactly how I saw it. Sure he stuffed a few things at the end but he never rushed himself. Composure

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Talented player who has already displayed tools required to be around for a long time.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

There is no doubt that Lennon is a real prospect but is still only just starting on his learning curve. On Saturday there were a number of times when it was obviously he was out of his depth but then gave a a flash of his potential. I would rather he spent a bit longer in the VFL and use that experience as a building block to come good later on in the season. Right now he doesn't have the playing nous that Vlastuin showed at the same stage of his career but has the talent to get there. He just needs time and experience.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Didn't stink it up any worse than a whole bunch of his team mates. Got lost n spent a heap of time chasing arse, but no surprise there as the whole mob was pretty putrid n spent all night chasing Bombers. Big lessons for the kid in how much work n discipline is required at the top level.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Would have learned plenty playing on Fletcher last night.

Shanked a few kicks, so looks to be really adapting to the Tiger culture nicely.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

That game is worth ten, had a bit of stage fright but that 's fine.

Went back hard with the flight of the ball. Hard. Great sign.

the way the side is going i'd play him for the rest of the year, he's only going to get better unlike a few of the downhill skiers currently getting games. i'd prefer that over playing say a Petterd for the rest of the year and dropping Lennon back then bringing him back in next year with only 4-5 games under his belt. the season is well gone so we have nothing to lose by playing the younger Players. i'd even go so far as to say that anyone that won't be around beyond 2015 plays VFL for the rest of this year and give some kids a go to see what they have got. at worst they'll be advertising for the trade period and we can get something for them. if some of them come through and shine then thats a bonus.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

If he is going to play as the sub, he may as well play in the VFL.

Nowhere near hard enough at the ball and shirked 2 contests that I saw tonight.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Absolutely pointless him being the sub. More Hardwick genius.

I dont think the twos played, that could be the only excuse

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

A poor game tonight. Didn't contest, didn't support. He is a way off AFL at the moment but think he will make it after a good grounding at VFL level. Nowhere near the standard that Vlastuin was at the same stage of his carer.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

He's looked well out of his depth for the past fortnight. And has been clearly a nett liability.

But our cue is in the rack. So it's time to give some exposure to talented juniors.

If he's to get another week I don't mind him being the sub. The heat is out of the game and he has an advantage of freshness over his more seasoned opponents. If gives him a bit of a leg up.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

the problem is that the game plan doesn't allow you develop your game unless you are a contested ball machine. we have no outside game that can get the younger lighter players into the game.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

pretty tough gig being subbed into a tsunami for your 3rd game. forget last run.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

We dont need to feed him to the wolves...

a week or two in the VFL wont hurt give him time to get his confidence back :)

Interesting to bring him on as the sub with fresh legs and stand him in the goalsquare in the last quarter.

Hardwick - no idea!

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Was weak at two last 1/4 contests in 50/50 ball situations which was very disappointing. Had four games in a row & should go back to VFL for a couple.
