He won 2 Best and fairest's and was also twice All Australian.
Joel Bowden. Easily.
Yep, I think Joel was one of the biggest whipping boys I've seen here.shawry said:Agree. He was very harshly treated.

Sadly, fans tend to be very impatient and unforgiving when the results don't come out on the field. One of my mates is a Bulldogs supporter and he still bags Scott West, years after he retired. Apparently, he saw him pull out of contests early in his career and 320 games, 7 B&Fs, 5 AA nods, hundreds of Brownlow votes and a gazillion disposals did nothing to change his opinion.
The same guy now thinks that Liam Picken is a God. Winners are grinners but this is totally ridiculous.
It is just sad that some of us can't enjoy our footy unless our team is winning Premierships.
Not that I am suggesting Ben Lennon is fit to even tie the shoe laces of any of these guys because he isn't. Nonetheless, constant, unwarranted bagging of any player is just sad.

Hayfever said:I do not know why but this kid reminds me of two other honest, good ordinary Aboriginal footballers from WA. Both won a premiership in 1980 at South Fremantle, the year we last won the premiership, and one of them won the Norm Smith medal the last time we played in one.
Their names from memory were Maurice Rioli and Stephen Michael.
The invitation for all the join the Lennon lorry was put out a few weeks ago. This is going to be one of the good news stories of 2017 for RFC. From whipping boy to whipping opposition butts....Sintiger said:Come on join the Lennon lorry !!
