Ben Lennon

At least all those blokes were pretty much all duds.

The biggest and most undeserved whipping boy.

He won 2 Best and fairest's and was also twice All Australian.

Joel Bowden. Easily.

Agree. He was very harshly treated.

Dan Jackson was a dud?

Not too late for him to turn it around, if Donald Trump can become President of the United States Of America anything is possible.

Yep, easily. Jackson does come closest and he did also win a B&F. Wayne Campbell also copped an undeserved bucketing from time to time, as did Kane Johnson.

Sadly, fans tend to be very impatient and unforgiving when the results don't come out on the field. One of my mates is a Bulldogs supporter and he still bags Scott West, years after he retired. Apparently, he saw him pull out of contests early in his career and 320 games, 7 B&Fs, 5 AA nods, hundreds of Brownlow votes and a gazillion disposals did nothing to change his opinion.

The same guy now thinks that Liam Picken is a God. Winners are grinners but this is totally ridiculous.

It is just sad that some of us can't enjoy our footy unless our team is winning Premierships.

Not that I am suggesting Ben Lennon is fit to even tie the shoe laces of any of these guys because he isn't. Nonetheless, constant, unwarranted bagging of any player is just sad.

Deserved the Brownlow IMO.

I know, it's crazy stuff. West was an absolute champion, downgrading his contribution because he never won a flag is just ignorant.

:hihi Jarrod Oakley-Nichols begs to differ

A player unfairly judged by the hive is a whipping boy.

A dud player is just a dud playwe.

Had a quick look at the JON thread. This was the highlight.

I do not know why but this kid reminds me of two other honest, good ordinary Aboriginal footballers from WA. Both won a premiership in 1980 at South Fremantle, the year we last won the premiership, and one of them won the Norm Smith medal the last time we played in one.

Their names from memory were Maurice Rioli and Stephen Michael.

Tivendale & Pettifer were yje players i remember that really copped it, But as another poster mentioned we cant classify Lennon in the whipping boy criteria as he hasnt done anything yet.

Dud - Delist

The invitation for all the join the Lennon lorry was put out a few weeks ago. This is going to be one of the good news stories of 2017 for RFC. From whipping boy to whipping opposition butts....

Yes to be fair I have been harsh on the boy. Perhaps this has been misplaced since he was a known quantity when drafted. Perhaps the real problem was Frank's selection.

In any case, hope the boy wonder proves me wrong.

Do you recall a player by the name of Daniel Jackson who you bagged relentlessly and mercilessly for his whole career? Jacko Dyer Medalist.

Yep should've traded him after his one good year. Lucky we held on for so long .
