Fair to say Ben is excited with our new apparel partner. There will be so much vibrancy in 2017!!!

Hah nice pick up.

By the way Lenno was vibrant at training today, (crunched Conca in a tackling drill who had to leave the ground with, hopefully, only a minor shoulder injury). The players were giving Lenno high fives, not sure Concs was happy.

I think the penny may have indeed dropped, providing no set backs in pre-season and that he has been granted forgiveness in his RFC confessional he should play round 1 at half forward for mine.

Been a critic and remain sceptical but at least now hopeful.

Out of all the players on the list that should be most grateful that Deledio has gone Lennon must be at the top of the list.

A fit Deledio across half forward along with Lloyd wouldve consigned Ben to many weeks in the VFL.

He now has a spot there to make his.

Well its certainly make or break year for him, its been 3 years and will be his last year if he doesnt bust his ass and work on his defensive issue's and stop blaming the world for his problems and get on with it - No more excuses for ben

Maybe that crunching tackle on Conca shows he wants to play forward/midfield. Will have to show much more vibrancy in his endurance running.

Totally agree and if after all of his bleating about CHF being his ideal position, he has the perfect opportunity to make it his own

And we need him to.

If he can play some decent football in big games I will be pleasantly surprised as he seems slow in mind as well when the heat is really on in games.

Lids most effective position was HFF not CHF anyway and that seems to suit...hang on I reckon Lennon has earned the title of FIGJAM

Could it be that young Ben Lennon has earned the nickname FIGJAM?

To quote the best first PRE post by a new member ever, FIVJAM.

I suspect most of Lennon's difficulties stem from his relationship with the coach.

Like most of our younger players he has trouble deciphering the messages and is frustrated by many aspects of the football department that he sees hampering his development.

Where he differs is that he is prepared to give honest feedback, which Hardwick does not take well.

Yes have to agree, the you're about half as good as you think you are message is hard to hear, great post

If I were the coach and got feedback about my approach from a 100+ game player, I would reflect on it seriously. If I were getting it from a fringe, second year player with modest credentials, I would struggle to keep a straight face.

Yes. You're twice as good as you're currently playing. Is the same message but more likely to motivate.
