Ben Lennon

He doesn't really fit in with the Hardwick game plan of running sideways and dishing off 2M handballs to someone else running sideways and then running a little further sideways to receive another handball and repeat the process.

Just marking the ball in a contest and then looking up the ground for a non-existent next option isn't much use at Punt Road under the current regime.

If Lennon was 10 years older he would have got to 100 games with us then traded. Very Bling like scenario he's got going.

We can't play 3 talls and Ben Lennon because he lacks mobility and speed.
I am ambivalent to him leaving. Unless we get a decent pick (<35-40 ) I wouldn't be too upset if he stays

I think our whole side looks horrible with three talks anyway. I'd be playing a Griffiths, Riewoldt and Lennon (if fit and stays) with Lloyd, Rioli and another (Lids, Motlop, etc). My only concern with that lineup is we're better in the air than when the ball hits the ground.

I always think it's the quality of the forwards you have TG and the synergy they can work in, Look at the Dogs and Hawks, pretty small forward lines , Crows have a couple of monsters a tall/mid and class smalls. If you had 3 guns talls you'd play them if they work , problem for us is we only have one real top line forward.

Maybe putting himself out on the market expecting there to be clubs falling over themselves, only to have very little interest might be a wake up call for Ben.

I still don't think he will make it, but you never know.

I'm with ya, Draga.

Now that Sideshow Bob looks like he's off to clog Hawthorns list and Conca looks like staying the focus will go onto Lennon.
Considering that there has been ZERO interest in him he might need to pull that big fat head in and actually prove that he has more skill than just lifting the silver spoon to his gob and asking the servants to peel grapes for him

I'd rather trade then keep, however I'd much rather he was kept then any of the out of contract players.

Tough season to judge him on in fairness to him.

According to Richardson this selfish player has NO INTEREST from other clubs
so he's considering his options.

Options, I would suggest Option which is to continue to play for Richmond or *smile*
off out of the club and retire from AFL.

To be honest I don't want him at the Club, he's another Connors in the making
and that will be a distraction that the club can't afford presently.

Hoping some other club will ask that he be traded to them on the last day of this
trade period.

Will probably end up being a steak knives in a bigger deal. However I would suspect we would pay most of his wage which we don't want to do.

To remain a viable seniors player Lennon will have to do what he has never had to or wanted to - work hard and fight for his spot in the team. Am sure all the other clubs will know what he is like, so no surprise that a flanker with a overly inflated opinion of himself gets little interest.

This guy needs new management, what kind of manager lets a player request a trade while contracted with no interest from any other teams?

Gee that's coming off the long run , cant recall the last time he was admonished by the club ::)

His value is as low as it will ever be right now. Keep him unless any reasonable offer is tabled. I've read a few tweets saying Miles wants out and could be part of a Prestia deal - sounds counter-productive to me, one of our few in an unders with some balls...

I actually think this kid can play if we can find the right pot on the field, we will regret trading him.
