Ben Lennon

Ben just nominated Williamstown the team of his choice.
I hope he enjoys the winds coming off the bay in the middle of July.

A natural footballer, will be a gun at another club
Havnt seen anything to like about him ( Gun at another club) i think not dosnt have enough tricks and has a bad attitude happy to see him go

Doesn't seem to have been given the same game time as our other 1st round choices, C.Ellis played some games where he looked like he didn't want contact & still was picked the following week. Talk of perhaps a bad attitude may be correct hence not getting a run. I still thought in the run of games he put together late last year showed he had plenty to offer. Some of his marking in the wet v the Bombers was excellent.

I will be disappointed to see Lennon depart, yet if he wants out then there is just no point trying to convince him to stay. Probably a combination of poor development by the Club coupled with his poor attitude. Will be very disappointed if he turns it around at another club.

The real question is perhaps, given how loyal the club has been to him - paying him well and not trading him end of '15 - and how few good senior games he has actually played for us (partially due to bad luck). Even given him getting his Tiger tattoo. So why does he want to leave?

No loyalty or dedication from him. So the club will get burnt on having to take unders for a pick 12. Thanks, Ben. Appreciate it.

Lennon will come back and bite us as badly as Danny Meyer did

That's the beauty picking up duds.
You don't have to worry about them proving you wrong at another club.

more so like Matty Plugga McDonough

Nah, I reckon Lennon will find a second club for a year or two. Plugga left the scene

These words straight from the horses mouth.

“Brett told me he thought I had all the skills in the world, but I’ve just got to work harder,” Lennon said.

May these words be enshrined on his epitaph.

Sorry to see him go really. Would have liked to judge him after a full pre season of training and injury free run. Never got that continuity with us at all. He was terribly under done this year due to glandular fever and injuries. No base fitness whatsoever due to this so how could he be expected to perform at the top level. We've held onto players with far less ability a lot longer, but if he wants out so be it.

I don't get it. If his fitness base wasn't there due to his illness why would he be disgruntled over not getting the opportunities he must feel that he deserves? Why wouldn't he complete a full preseason and show everyone what he is made of next year?

Maybe he thinks he won't make it so he's buying himself another 3 years elsewhere.

Great thinking
Sack Tuohy is leaving Carlton, hopefully we don't go after him

Sometimes they turn it around. 20 years ago the "Ben Lennon" was called Justin Murphy. Went to have a long career with Carlton, Essendon and Geelong.
