Good luck to him. The kid obviously has ambition
This post proved to me the type of person you are. Not an attack on you just that there is no need to continue our board conversation

Carlton have pick 41, that will be their opening gambit, we need to try and squeeze another downgrade in. eg, pick 30 for pick 23.

bullie no wayyy, Lennon has bloody talent, skillful and a good decision maker but hey we dont rate those traits...Still very young, a 2nd round pic im sure a club out there will hand over, heck if north can hand over a first rounder for Jed Anderson anything is possible....

Ambition is a quality sorely lacking at the club and by alot of supporters.

Just saying that's how I see it, if it's Carlton they will be attempting to cling onto pick 23, that's a good pick this year, relatively speaking the equivalent of pick 19 last year.

Leaving because starved of opportunity.
Hardwick refused to give him a go.

Just crap. Hardwick played him when not justified based on VFL form, in order to try and encourage him, gift him games to unravel his 'great' talent such as the Cats game where his dumb and weak efforts cost us modestly two crucial goals. Sent back to the VFL where he garnered a dominating 8 possessions!

Don't let any football nous block your belief in bulldust or blind Dimma-bashing. The guy was a really disappointing performer overall.

Buckley has mandate of making finals, but in saying that, it would seem that he has no confidence in the list he has at his disposal at present to get him there.
Maric, Wells, Dal Santo & Mayne all well passed their best & not entirely sure they would make that much difference.
Sounds like Frawley after 2001 season.

Didn't get a decent go from Hardwick from day 1.
Remember the final when he was omitted by *smile*?
Had glandular fever pre season so it was always to be an uphill battle this year.
He's a player who can actually kick which was a refreshing change.

Dimma likes the Morris, Houli, Hunt, Townsend, Thomas types who will never take this club forward.
If your happy to bag Lennon you should be delighted to bag all the list cloggers he has selected over the years.
Talking of crap, that's your man, Dimma.
Should have been moved on long ago.
But crap decisions from Benny & Co still see this Goose at the helm.

yeah poor old Benny got the rough end of the pineapple. Maybe an extra-thick pillow for his arse while he sat on the bench would have helped? Good grief. He's lazy and not that good, full bloody stop.

Need to separate your obsessive Dimma hate from some actual objective football analysis. If I just take one of these hopeless list-cloggers, Taylor Hunt, what do we see? This is looking into your case; I am not necessarily making a case for Hunt or any player you nominated, but I dare say, with Houli and Morris it would almost certainly be unfavourable too. Townsend has played too few AFL games with us to really compare.

So who is the list clogger? Hunt went over 4 times higher in his draft to Lennon - pick 49 to 12. Imagine if we compared BL with similar high draftees.

Go speak to Francis Jackson re the Lemnon first rounder.
I wonder how Hunt & Houli would have gone in that finals game GWS v
Both would have been creamed.
Yet Hardwick perseveres with thse types.
Houli just got a 2 year extension.
The Hardwick judgement, found wanting again.

You're saying this like Lennon doesn't have a contract. He does. He moaned about not being played in the EF last year and we extended his contract for 2 years. One year into it and he's started whining again. Nothing he did this season (and I admit that the GF pre season, plus some injuries during it pretty much ensured that 2016 was a write off for him) warranted being given games in the seniors and the few games he got there didn't do enough to keep him there. Unfortunately from day 1 I don't think he ever wanted to be at Richmond and we wasted a high pick, when we would have been better off giving it to some kid who actually wanted to play for us.
