the claw said:so its okay for the rfc to put polak on the ltil to get polak buts its not good enough to put him on the ltil to gain draft picks. sort of tells ya the mentality of the rabble footy club..
Leave the chimp out of this ! if we get B.C then just maybe I might change my line of avatars (only joking chimpa, couldn't do it to ya, I have invested to much research time on chimpy stuff, enough for the next season me thinks at one per week !hopper said:Thought I'd stay topical. Hey, at least it's some relief from the Chimp avatars!
(Yes, I admit to putting "Ben Cousins, chimp" into google images and coming up short!)

narrow sighted and foolish it seems the hood is easily pulled over the head of most rfc ferals.when will our supporters ever embrace the draft and thus pressure the club to do the same. people just arent being rational i suppose whats new.mld said:I can only assume that if we passed in the draft with a pick to spare, an extra pick wouldn't have been of much use in the ND.
Freezer said:You said you didn't want a drug addict at the club. For all we know, there might already be one, or two, or three. Just as the AFL didn't know Cousins was a drug addict for a long time, we may not know about other individuals. The AFL knows of players on one and two strikes - that's fact. Might one be at Richmond already? Who knows?

people talk about cousins being clean as if he can be fixed. it does not work that way. haes a drug addict he can regress at any time. very few ever overcome their addictions. thiose that do usuall y replace the addiction they have with another. cousins will regress even if he is seriously trying to overcome his problem which i doubt. he will regress for yrs to come you just dont snap your fingers and hey presto you have beaten the beast. the beast is within forever..its typical modernday thinking. theres a cure for everything unfortunately it just doesnt work that way. theres no cure and few find a way to manage their problem.Tigers of Old said:Let me rephrase it then & say I don't want a known drug addict at the club.
If Benny is indeed clean I would certainly like to hear it before we recruited him. I can't recall him saying it recently.
Other clubs have clearly been scared off for a reason. I certainly hope that if we are considering him that we'd be showing 'due dilligence' as much as others who have said thanks but no thanks.
Still plenty looking for the quick fix claw.

i think that the thing that scared the Faints off was the Cousins attended the funeral of a certain crime figure recently.Up untill then they were pretty much going to take him, so if the saints were that close i am again presuming that cousins is clean and the saints would of done due dilligence on him. collingwood realised that to probably have didak and cosuins along with heath shaw could of been a real bad mix.Tigers of Old said:Let me rephrase it then & say I don't want a known drug addict at the club.

hmm can they now did you read the post.ask any alcoholic about the time frame of overcoming no suppressing his addiction. many alcoholics manage to overcome or control the addiction. few hard core drug users ever overcome their addictions by this i mean stop useing.. look it up for yourself.Freezer said:So there's no rehabbed drug users? Ever heard of a sober alcoholic? He may always be a drug addict; that doesn't mean he's not clean. Addictions can be managed successfully.
