Got Alan Jackson concert tickets yesterday. Rod Laver, right in the middle, floor level. Time to get my red neck on.

Perhaps your colleague has no taste. I'll make up my own mind tim.
Perhaps he doesnt and wasnt saying you shouldnt Too.

I am most likely going to be dragged kicking and screaming to SMAP. Japanese "idol" (boy band) who are all on the wrong side of 35. Mrs PJ is a fan. And I have to go, at least there's beer.

Seeing Clairy Browne and the Bangin' Rackettes this Friday night at the Corner. Been following them for a while - got the CD (yes, I know it is a bit antiquated, but I still occasionally buy CDs) - but first time seeing em live. Looking forward to it immensely.

She has a very Melbourne tag line on her website which amuses me greatly - 'Browne is the new black.'

Seen em live?

Speaking of the Corner... off to see Martha Wainwright tomorrow night at The Tivoli in Brisbane. Have seen her once before at The Corner and she was brilliant. Not everyones cup of tea but she is great live.

TD

Might sound odd, but my (reasonably hip) Mum said that she wanted tickets to see Wainwright for Mothers Day. She is off to the Melbourne show next month. Bit more sedate surroundings as she is playing at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Not sure that it will be Dad's cup of tea - although they both went to see the Punch Brothers last year in Melbourne and said was one of the best gigs they had ever been to! They are now Punch Brother groupies.

I love Martha. Hauntingly, goosebumpingly beautiful. Might just put on my "I'm Your Man" dvd this arvo to get my fix.

Good to hear Dane. Unless I heard wrong, he even does body surf in the crowd?? As for the old songs, did/does he sing Hungry Heart?

Did it here whilst in OZ....at Rod Laver arena and Hanging Rock :clap

BTW King Kong was fantastic.

I saw it during the preview run. They must have tweaked a lot of things because it just didn't work - I wanted it to but it ended with very tepid applause.

I wish the production all the best though.

Saw my fav singer on the weekend, Ed Kowalcyzk frontman of Live, did the 20th anniversary of throwing copper plus half a doz of his hits.....fantastic entertainer an awesome venue the forum, met the man after the show which was *smile* huge for me
