I'm with the consensus that the BDO lineup is poor. Said it elsewhere that the BDO is the new Swagman restaurant, the headline bands always seem way passed their prime.
As side issue, did anyone go and see Linkin Park (or are they too mainstream for you alternative folk)?

You are trying to agree, but standing your firm and stubborn ground so that you don't look all egg-faced... why the hell are you wasting my time and making me type all these pointless responses to a dead-end debate?
RATM aren't just a "large reason" that BDO sold out in 3 days, Rosy. It is the SOLE REASON that BDO sold out in record time. If they were the only band in the lineup it would have still sold out. Bump the rest, and even if there are bjork fans, paul kelly fans, hilltop hood fans etc... these artists have a good following respectively, but they're hardly going to be contributing factors to the sell-out crowd.
Anyway, you have tickets to the show... you'll see what I mean when you witness it all. And you probably won't stick around for RATM, so during the day tell me how many BillyBragg t-shirts and flannel shirts you see, then compare it to other groups' merchandise. That should be a rough indication of my 99%

I'm not going to BDO, as I said I'd rather sit by the air conditioner and listen to a cd. The tickets are for my kids and their friends and my daughter and her b/f are the 2 who really want to see Billy Bragg.
I'm not making you do anything at all, you post of your own free will, but if you continue to choose to do so please get your facts right first.

filmed two really good bands on saturday nite.
twelve inch clocks - ok, they have a silly name, but they are a really kool bluesy, rootsy duo. in the black keys mould, but just a singer and a guitarist.
mink puppet - a really rocking band, nice riffs, play a really tight live set.

also, im so happy i got a BDO ticket. i was spewing to miss out on RATM, i still mite go to try and get a scalped ticket, then accidently steal my money back of the scalper. but at the very least i get to see them at the BDO
